The disguising your identity thing is so much like a typical Xianxia novel that it is ridiculous. This is a compliment, by the way. It really feels like both the Xianxia genre and RWBY has been blended together almost perfectly. I love it. I'm just hoping that if he is going to be doing a lot as the hooded figure, that eventually his identity is revealed and all of his successes are credited to his actual identity, though I wouldn't be too sad if this is a path that is not taken.

I usually dislike OC's, but those that have been in the story so far have been nothing short of good. Even Heather Shield was incredibly interesting, both her Semblance and the little of what we got to see of her character.

The backstory of the MC is incredibly well written, by far my favorite part of this fanfiction is the backstory. It is revealed naturally and not all at once, it makes me progressively more interested in his character. Other than the crucial information such as Jaune explaining Cultivators and the power system he uses, the usual mistake of info dumps is avoided. The MC's past is not thrown at us like wild confetti but is given in bits like a singular stream of confetti that stops and starts, basically, it is not hitting you in the face all at once. It's very well written.

The main character being overpowered (to a point) is by far my second favorite aspect of this Fanfiction. Usually, including incredibly overpowered characters in your story is considered a bad move by most writers. But here, it works. A lot of the reason why I am reading this is to see the RWBY cast's reactions to a foreign power system, the cultivation system. As we know, in most stories Cultivators can become world destroying warriors, parting the seas with a flutter of their eyelashes. Having the character not be OP would be an insult to the Xianxia genre as well as its counterparts. Definitely one of the best features so far. Eagerly wondering how far Jaune will get up the Cultivation ladder.

As can be guessed, I also love how fluidly the cultivation power system is blended with the world of RWBY. I love how aura and dust are both integrated into the world of Xianxia. Similarly, I really like how Ruby's silver eyes are actually something else entirely and has a link to the Cultivation power system and laws. It is very creative in my opinion. Though I am not too much of a fan of her power being given to her bloodline instead of being something her bloodline got naturally, despite not being a fan this does not limit my enjoyment of this fiction at all.

Can't wait for Jaune-but-not-quite to eventually get to Atlas. I'm hoping that Jaune interacts with Weiss soon, as I am really hoping to see how Weiss would react to seeing Jaune after his grim actions at Beacon. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Weiss was actually one of the few who saw the necessity almost immediately. She is one of the kindest characters surprisingly, but she also seems to be just as ruthless as she is kind when the situation calls for it. The reunion with Blake, however...

Anyways, brilliant Fanfiction so far! Loving it!

Is this a True Martial World reference? That tournament arc was my favorite tournament arc and one of my favorite arcs overall, most of the others were really boring.

I was surprised to see the legendary Brick Dao being used in a RWBY fanfiction. This was great.

There is no logical reason for a person not to wear some degree of armor, anyone who claims it will just slow them down or get in the way is either stupid or insane. In this case I'd get it if it were some large clunky set of full plate or the like, but it's literally a chest plate and some shoulder guards made of sheet metal.

It wouldn't even weigh much more than a handbag, and I'm not even joking. Fuck.

First off, I just wanna say that I really like this story. Secondly, I just want to say that if you feel the need to censor curse words in this story then you probably shouldn't use them at all. I dunno if it's just me but it's distracting and takes away some of the immersion, not to mention pointless. It's just my opinion, but you've rated this fic 'M' and we've already read scenes of a murderous nature, what's a curse every now and then? Anyways, this isn't the first story I've read that does it, just the first one I've felt the need to say something. I do enjoy this story though and look forward to the next chapter eagerly, keep up the good work.
