Even though this goes off of worst route in the game, Ingrid is best girl, so this is a fine story.

I enjoyed this and your previous fic so much that now I’m upset that Ingrid can’t support with Edelgard or Hubert. I actually like recruiting Ingrid on Crimson Flower because she’s a good character and unit, but I can’t deny that her siding with the Empire is a teeny bit of a stretch, and I think your fics do a good job of rationalizing such a choice.

The last segment made me think of Edelgard's paralouge where she is making ALL of the throat puns because they are fighting at "Fodland's Throat".

Enjoyed reading this depiction of Ingrid working for the Empire. Its definitely more engaging than the standard 'muh professor' reasoning that the majority of Faerghus characters give when explaining their motivations.
