I would say financially killing someone would be immensely more cruel than just killing them.

Love this story. One of the best NaruSaku familial stories I’ve seen, and I say this as a NaruSaku shipper. But you’ve done a great job of capturing how they bring out the best in one another with such a strong and selfless love that it is very impressive.

I have a major problem here, namely that Team Seven (with or without Kakashi) did not immediately go nukenin when they learned it was being covered up. Because as you've written them, I can't imagine then not being _far_ more loyal to each other than to Konoha, especially after learning that Naruto's mother and clan were deliberately erased.

Hell, it's the right thing to do, if Sarutobi is covering up Orochimaru's crimes.

I was reading the beginning and kinda confused why she felt guilty but you did a good job of calling back to why she felt it was her fault and very well integrated in. Honestly, I would love to see her uncle teacher the ways of business because it would be useful later on, as a Shinobi should have a silver tongue to talk themselves out of unnecessary fights. But that ain’t necessary but I do want a festival chapter now as well.

...Dosu killing her parents in such a brutal fashion and leaving a calling card just doesn't seem right. Like, I know this isn't following the main lines anymore but Dosu has no reason to do this. Kabuto maybe for the way she hurt him but I don't see a way he could have pulled it off and Dosu has literally no reason to do this. He didn't give a shit about Kin and Zaku died in a much more horrific fashion BECAUSE Sakura got hurt and sent Sasuke into a rage, so you'd think he would avoid doing anything to piss off the person that tore his teammate apart limb from limb.

Also just dropping that Naruto and Kyuubi can talk to each other out of nowhere in a random, inappropriate time?

Also Kakashi fucking up and telling Sakura she can't go home but then not stopping her as he should be able to, or instead not saying anything to avoid her going home and preventing this entire thing, instead he could have just told her after cleanup that her parents were murdered during the invasion...not to mention that Dosu apparently didn't get it in his head to try and fight Gaara or he wasn't used for the impure world resurrection...but then again we haven't seen that fight so who knows what happened there, also Kakashi not saying anything to Naruto about the Hokage either so we're lead to believe Sarutobi made it through that fight...

I'm sorry but this just screams contrived.

This fic has killed me and I thank you. I love the way you've reworked the plot and the characterizations. Especially the characterizations. Tbh screw ooc, the way you've written them makes them like a thousand time more interesting that the original series. The only thing I regret about reading this fic is the overwhelming urge to be able to watch it as an anime.
There's probably more I could say but can't think of right now but I love this fic so much.
