Reviews for SHIELD's Sword
Crazy9087 chapter 2 . 6/13
is this a cameo of Doctor Strange?
vinayakdj1 chapter 4 . 4/20
if Shirou's memories are locked...does that mean he cannot fully trace anything? as it would require him to read the history of an object too... meaning he would be able to read kanshou for example and read how he himself fought his teacher with kanshou or how he once tried to lift Caliburn..

etc
vinayakdj1 chapter 2 . 4/20
don't screw up zendaya's character portrayal...I can put a hex on ppl
vinayakdj1 chapter 1 . 4/20
wait a minute... shield was disbanded long before civil war
dkm5495 chapter 4 . 4/13
Honestly dude, I don't like criticizing the way people tell their stories, but your reason for why Shirou is not using his abilities to their full potential is exceptionally dumb.

Your example does not convince me at all considering the current situations particularly since the only thing that are at risk in your example is some time and effort while Shirou is trying to stop crime and he is handicapping himself. I would not have minded if you had simply said that he has lost his memories and that he was without experience so he can not currently access those abilities.

I would not have liked it but I would have accepted it. However your reasoning puts peoples lives potentially at risk by making things harder for Shirou, especially considering the fact that every mission that we have seen Shirou undertake so far he seems to have failed.
MysticRising chapter 4 . 4/12
Lol AB has funny powers. He controls cats.
MysticRising chapter 3 . 4/12
Actually don't you think nick fury is an idiot for sending shirou on these stealth missions when he himself admits to suck at lying and such. Not to mention his skills are oriented for combat and he isn't good in applying them out of it. Didn't he basically admit that by calling himself a sword and the only purpose of a sword is to kill or something like that?
MysticRising chapter 2 . 4/12
I gotta say a part of me understands the archer like mentality, and it is quite good to see as archer is a very complex character, but this shirou lacks that complexity and just seems like a weapon to me. Very 2 dimensional.
Also why didn't he wear a fucking mask when he confronted doctor octopi? That seems really stupid for someone who is suppose to hide his identity from his target spider man. And don't give me shit about it hindering him like his visibility. He could easily have something to disguise his face and hair but leaves his eyes free or a mask that doesn't hinder peripheral vision. Shield does have resources after all.
MysticRising chapter 1 . 4/12
I really want to know how shirou arrived to this new world and how restricted his magecraft is. I hope there is a reason why his memories have been sealed, cause frankly I think it sucks so there better be a damn good cause for it.
Ozzman84 chapter 4 . 4/12
What I find especially interesting about this premise is the fact that Shirou could defeat Thanos before he uses the stones. If he pulled thanks into Unlimited Blade Works the stones would become null and void because they only function in one reality therefore without a mode to fight Shirou could kill him before a snap was caused in the first place
Guest chapter 4 . 4/12
Kirei Kotomine, a peak human, without using any magecraft, can run 50km/h while holding 40kg in a dense forest enviroment. Imagine if he was using the Church sacraments? Or magecraft? Or both?

He is an Elite executor of the Church, but in Fate/stay night we know he was far from his peak strength.

In Fate/Zero he was also shown to be deflecting bullets: even the slowest bullet moves at 120m/s. Kiritsugu's Calico M950 has a Muzzle velocity of: 1290 ft/s or 394m/s. It should be noted but Kirei kotomine wasn't using any magecraft whatsoever in his fight against kiritsugu, everything he did was just pure strength. If he was using the Church sacraments? Or magecraft? Or both? He'd definitely be able to deflect even a 50 cal bullet.

We also know most Enforcers, using magecraft, can easily break the sound barrier 343m/s, and that Servants are hypersonic. In Fate/hollow ataraxia, Saber - Artoria Pendragon, was able to dodge Archer's Hrunting that was moving at mach 12, or roughly 4000m/s.

Human Shirou(Post UBW) should be able to dodge/deflect most projectiles that are at least on the level of a 50 cal bullet.
98kazer chapter 4 . 4/12
i'm really bothered that you haven't been utilizing Shirou's first and most important skill, his structural analysis.
the magecraft that can scan history, make, weight, and other details of an object and is more effective with bladed weapons, you said that except for the use of his magecraft, he doesn't remember anything else, so that means, using structural analysis is not an impossibility,
Shirou could have easily known Peter was spiderman just by analyzing his costume.
also, unless your using a younger version of Shirou or you've also erased the memories of this particular skill, he should be able to dodge normal projectiles with his self-trained Eye of the mind.
alexanderrand101 chapter 2 . 4/12
Try to take a sort of counter-the-enemy approach. Limit him to low power NPs that grant him an advantage but not a victory outright.
To Tuska chapter 1 . 4/12
Tuska said: Really nice. The only bit that I don't like is Shirou opinion on Spiderman swinging style because he can't do what Peter can.

Shirou can in FACT do what peter can: if he ever got a hold of his web spitters: he can replicate them. Shirou Emiya is a creator: he can project anything: from water to a helicopter.
Guest chapter 1 . 4/12
To the Different guest reviewer:

Shirou DOES have every tool for the job, this is canon and a fact. The reason Archer doesn't do that? because HE is facing Legendary heroes that can move at speeds of mach 5 to mach 14 at will. Pulling out a sword that can create a flood the size of a city or a Super tornado of flamiing wrath will not matter to those guys. Caster, Medea of Colchis can do the same yet doesn't cause guess what: it wouldn't work against them. Most knight classes have A - B rank magic resist making those thing USELESS. He has NPs that can hypnotize and brainwash people if he wanted. There is definitely a Noble Phantasm that can do it. As a human the Shirou Emiya who became EMIYA was hampered by his powerlessness, but as a SuperSuper Spirit-Hero his options increased.

Also, Shirou Emiya should have a Noble phantasm that can regrow body parts. In the Fate/Stay Night Visual Novel Rin Tohsaka regrew Shirou's heart from scratch, even noting that she would have been instantly accepted into the Clocktower if the feat had been witnessed. After all, his old heart was completely demolished by Lancer and was cursed(So it couldn't be healed) hence she removed the old heart and made him a new one. If Rin can regrow body parts: Then a post UBW Shirou should be able to as well.

Nasu: If Shirou was a better mage then yes: he could have just mind controlled despots and mind controlled any top officials. He could then puppet nations from the shadows, and with his wit and intelligence push his Utopia agenda(Eternal world peace)with a perfect communist system. And since all the top officials are brainwashed no one can exploit the system with greed(what usually happens)and we know Shirou wouldn't exploit the system for himself either.

It's too bad then that when the Shirou Emiya who became EMIYA was alive: even using reinforcement was difficult. No wonder he always had to make compromises. If this Shirou is anything like UBW Shirou, then his whole life should be a gamechanger.

Most of the time, when EMIYA was alive, he was powerless to do anything substantial. After he contracted with the World(Alaya), and gained the power needed to save people, he immediately kicked the bucket, and would have died to radiation poisoning within a year anyways, regardless if he was executed or not.

Emiya CM III:
This is Emiya Shirou after becoming a Heroic Spirit in the future. He stubbornly trained himself after the Holy Grail War, and pursued the dream of becoming a champion of justice. However, he soon fell into despair as he realized that his own power was insufficient to save mankind. Before the dying people, Emiya made a pact with the World and became a hero that could produce miracles, yet died a tragic death anyway to the treachery of his allies. Although he died of betrayal, he did not hate mankind. Ironically, the World charged him as a Heroic Spirit to slaughter all humans at a particular location when mankind is at the threshold of complete self-destruction - a Counter Guardian.

Whatever the author does it's fine, but Shirou is not one to skimp on his abilties(If he has them) if there are people in need of help.
