Oh damn I literally just started reading The Golden Compass like last week because my co-worker said it was good. It's an AU I never knew I needed until this moment and would be thrilled if you continued it. I love that Misaki has an akita as a daemon, it fits her so perfectly. I wonder what the other main cast would have? And how would Mao fit into the scenario? I assume he could pretend to be Hei's daemon if the need arose, and everyone would comment at the rarity of a same-sex human-daemon pair. Oh man the hijinks that would ensue from that would be hilarious.

I need to go marinate in the possibilities this could entail...
