Your Authors note has me elated. I'm ecstatic to see another author who accepts negative reviews. I've had my problems with those who think only positive reviews are "good" to have.

Now, for my actual review of the story. A very intriguing concept, first of all. Izuku having a quirk like that. Just make sure he isn't OP as hell.
I was about to continue my review, but it's 0100 and I'm tired as hell. So I'll probably finish ul next chapter.

I'm a little disturbed by the whole second personality thing. I really hope he is just misinterpreting his darker half and not that it is actually evil as I could see that being a severe detriment to becoming a hero.

Look, if all I can tell you is there's bound to be people who will dislike your work regardless of the reason then I'd be lying.

Personally, I wouldn't make such a big fuss about it. I can understand emotions getting the better of you especially when you've dealt with a very real personal issue recently, but I do recommend you taking a bit of time to gather your thoughts and recollect yourself. As all you did was both point fingers at the one reviewer (Who I bet is getting tons of PMs about their review, if not the attention from the situation.) and caused a situation to gather pity.

I know this because I myself have been dealing with a troll for the past year, I just delete their reviews when they pile up too much and ignore them.

But since you made a big deal about their review, let's bite the bullet and address that a bit, shall we?

That being said, I can't say I agree with them - a ton of the points they made in the review seem so trivial. I wouldn't call the title on the edgy side because Izuku kinda deals with a lot, and the gravity quirk is a possible mutation of his mother's and allows him to work things out with Ochako more.

Personally though the one point where I do agree with them is how flat the characters are. I mean, I love IzuOcha to death (and if I had a platform to promote this, I wholeheartedly would) as I really only search for fics with this pairing - but I think part of the interactions between the two fall flat a bit.

I mean, I love Chapter 6, with how it handled the confessions and union between Izu and Ocha, so much that I go back to read that chapter alone when you update - but I do cringe when Ochako states she sees Izuku as more important than her folks, for the RomCom lover in me I do have to admit that goes a bit too far.

But hey, at least you gave them time to get to know each other and make them a legit couple, the same I cannot say for The Bright Hero, Cobalt's take on pairing Izuku and Ochako together (told via "flashback", have them fight in the sports fest only for Izuku to give up when they confess, and have Izuku and Ochako teleport to her folks house for their blessing) and that's not even counting the whole a previous version where Ochako was practically dreaming of a life with Izuku after he saved her from the 0-pointer and Izuku having a spiritual bond with her asks if she meant it.

My only issue with the pairing, and mostly Ochako, in this is that it leaves her with very little reason to be a hero herself outside just following Izuku. At least when Fafnir Knight decided to rewrite Ochako's family to not be entirely poor that Ochako's reason to be a hero was more motivated by the actions of another (Izuku saved her and she wanted to become a Hero to meet the mysterious boy again) instead of... I'm sorry I might have skipped the details here.

Even in this chapter Ocha worries for Izu after his injuries and just now comes to the conclusion that Izu isn't invincible? I gave the pairing here so much clout but that honestly kinda ruined that a bit. You'd think that his friend for so-odd years and later girlfriend would have already come to the terms that Izu isn't invincible, especially since the very chapter that had them hook up had her rescue him from a PTSD-like seizure - (If you can't tell I really like Chapter 6.) so it would at least give her the idea that Izu has some serious baggage and that it might cause issues down the line, but that if them hooking up is any evident that she's aware of the effect she has on him - even was made a point in this chapter via Midoriya.

On that end though, that's really the most I can say there. I'm sorry for your loss, and I personally can't help you with motivation (all I can tell you there is write when you want to, it's fanfiction - it's a hobby.) and honestly I do find this particular story as better than a number of other IzuOcha fics out there, because it DOES have potential - AND also because some fics make mistakes or focus in/around Canon. Not everything can be a Green Tea Rescue, a Telekinetic Hero, a Fafnir Knight, or just about anything by SevenRenny.

BUT, this Fanfic not being worth reading? Yeah I'm going to say "No, this is worth at the very least a shot."

I love how the fic is going so far, but I would recommend that you change the name if the story ever goes into a brighter direction. The title "Gravitational Sorrow" implies that the fic will be mostly composed of angst and not much else, and if that is what you're going for, then continue on. But if you eventually want the tone of the story to get lighter and more heartfelt, I would switch the title to something more hopeful like "Defying Gravity" (yes, like the Wicked Song) because the title would show that Izuku is pushing against what society deems him as: a monster.

I really believe this fanfiction can go somewhere and ultimately, the way the story goes is up to you. Ignore that jackass in the reviews because like I said, YOU make the story, and YOU dictate how it goes. If he/she really doesn't like it, all they have to do is not read this story. I wish you the best with this fic and I hope it's turning out the way you want to.

First of all, that guy can get fucked sideways with a barb covered log, what does he even know about writing, he probably isn't even wanted in his own house so he has to resort to shit on others on the internet, hiding behind an empty profile like the coward he is.

Second, the story is amazing, ignore those naysayers, if they don't give constructive criticism then they don't deserve anything

Third, my sincere condolences about your situations. Honestly, famous people just can't seem to get their shit together, no matter their circle, they always have to get caught with shady stuff. I just learned to separate the art from the artist and move on, just take whatever good those monsters did and reject the rest

I'm sure that you are an amazing writer and that if you were able to work on this story for a week straight, I can bet that you'd have an extra 12 chapters waiting to be posted.
