Another great chapter. Don't leave us on this cliffhanger too long.

I can definitely see why Dudley's change of attitude, although welcome, rubs Harry off the wrong way and make him more suspicious of "Nora". At this point, he knows she doesn't want him dead, and he knows she somehow made Dudley change for the better. And, in his point of view, she kissed him out of nowhere. It's very possible that he might be thinking that he has a dangerous stalker with a crush and is wary of getting closer to her over these concerns.

I very much enjoyed Dudley being friendly to Harry. And I also enjoyed that Dudley still cracks jokes at Harry's expense, but in a much more friendly manner now - the "Now I am not so sure" bit. I know that they warmed up to each other eventually in canon (with mentions that their children played together), and I like to see it happening early here.

Hehehe If only Professor McGonagall knew that Tonks is not so much above misbehaving XD But yeah, I can definitely see why Tonks wants to omit some details, like the long and slow kiss she gave Harry. Hope Professor McGonagall doesn't find out about that so soon. It will be very interesting to see how Tonks herself will handle her blossoming feelings for Harry, especially since it's a very much forbidden romance.

I'm sure the young Mr. Potter bit made Bellatrix suspect there was something wrong with "her sister". Narcissa would be more likely to refer to Harry as "Potter scum" than "Mr Potter" I think. And the bit of the "recruit the witch in Germany" was a clever way to confirm her suspicious, and unfortunately Tonks fell for it. I just hope she can escape the Death Eaters before they can hurt her.

Wow, Tonks as Nora kissing Harry was an unexpected, but excellent way to get him to relax to the point of willingly having his face covered to avoid Bellatrix the insane to spot him. Tonks using her metamorphmagus abilities to transform into Narcissa and try to throw Bellatrix off track was something I didn't see coming. Now it seems like Tonks will be taken prisoner and if the death eaters discover her true identity, they could have her arrested for identity theft. Nice chapter, looking forward to more!

Definitely a good premise to begin writing on, i’m always happy to see another fan keeping the Harry/Tonks ship afloat!
This plot has the potential for a shit ton of slow burn angst when Harry has to deal with the truth.

The famous protection fall apart when Voldy used Harry’s blood for the ritual. So the last two summer he went there were only danger, that’s why the dementors found him.

Ooh, Bellatrix snooping around Little Whinging was unexpected. It makes you wonder what Dumbledore was thinking that Harry living in an abusive environment was the right choice. Harry could've been killed by his muggle relatives at any time. Lily would more than likely be furious with Dumbledore for placing him in the Dursleys' care when they weren't even named potential guardians and that Harry legally should've gone to Sirius. Perhaps Nora/Tonks is determined to confront the ole coot for that sooner or later. Nice chapter, looking forward to more!

Definitely not surprising that Dudley lies about Harry and makes fun of his pain of losing a friend (Cedric) and godfather (Sirius). Clearly the lie didn't sat well with Tonks. And then Dudley using the hose on Harry AND accidentaly on Tonks too... Not only Tonks will never go on a date with him, she might very well start despising him too.

The appearance of Bellatrix Lestrange makes it all so much more dangerous. I definitely agree with Tonks about the safety issues. Maybe Harry is safe from Voldemort himself, but there are loopholes, like, for example, Voldemort sending someone else do to the job, and not necessarily with the use of magic.

The sudden change of attitude in Dudley is a very interesting development. Though I'm sure that whatever Tonks did, she did for Harry's sake, I also can clearly see that Harry will think this is too good to be true and will get suspicious of Tonks. I wonder how it will affect his crush on her.

I also love how protective Tonks is of Harry, it's honestly very cute.
