Hey I just wanted to pop in and say I am absolutely loving this story! It's such a great depiction of Zenitsu, and I absolutely love your writing style. I can feel the tension in your writing, like when Zenitsu was performing and wavering between drawing his sword and continuing playing the shamisen. I could feel the indecisiveness and tension of the situation.

It's been a while since an update, and I just wanted you to know how much I'm enjoying this story and I really really want you to continue writing it. It's very rare that you find a story on these types of sites that are well written and well put together, so I would hate this to be one of the ones that are never finished. Thanks for what you've done so far though, I sincerely love it!

Actually, I read all five chapters of your story (at once) and WOW! Just WOW! I am amazed at the whole setting: the city itself, the atmosphere in the markets and people from Zenitsu's past - the way you wrote all this so harmoniously and without excessive descriptiveness. Zenitsu himself, in my opinion, remained within the original character - the added background simply gave more understanding and depth to his character (and as far as I understand your take on his past is very similar to what is supposed in the manga).

I really liked that your Sayuri is not just a heartless swindler who, without a twinge of conscience, used youngster's love for her selfish purposes. As well as the fact that Zenitsu allowed himself to get into these troubles not because he closed his eyes (ears) to her lies, but because he can hear her sincere guilt and remorse (and it seemed that this was the greatest kindness and recognition of his value that he received from people at that time).

Zenitsu’s doubts about the offer of the post of court musician are also very characteristic: this is a very tempting offer, and the extermination of demons was not his chosen profession (the necessary skills were literally drilled into him). But despite his fears, he did not shy away from the final selection and from subsequent missions. Because he is a very responsible and obligatory person. His Gramps did not just pay off his debts, he saw in him something worthy of all these efforts and problems, gave him a family and never gave up on him. And so it was Zenitsu who chose to honor this faith by pursuit of a career that he would not have chosen in any other case.

The oni you invented is also good. I’m really worried about my beloved Dandelion: did the demon turn him into a photo card, or did Zenitsu "switch off" because his subconscious decided to take over? If the first, then was it done as a distraction (there is a full moon in the sky, and its light should bring Zenitsu back in human. But the time spent on a back and forth metamorphosis should be more than enough for the demon to hide)? Not to mention that the demon is very good at hiding among people (and at avoiding places where the demon slayer could have finished it without witnesses), which of course will screw all done work. Although I hope that my beloved Dandelion will be able to cope on his own (even if help is called out).

Holy moly, such a cliffhanger! This was amazing! So exciting and funny too, I absolutely loved it! You got some great talent, I swear! I bet he trapped Zenitsu somehow, this is bad! OMG I can't wait till next chapter! Good luck with inspiration! :D

This was once again amazing and poor Zenitsu on his internal struggle between becoming a musician in court or continuing as a demon slayer. It was kinda creepy tho because the same thing as last time with me wishing for this to update and it did less than 2 hours later (I was showing my friend the amazingness of Zenitsu). So happy you updated and I can’t wait for the showdown between lightning boi and the demon!
