Didn't get a chance to review last time and I was so happy to see you writing here again! You have righted a terrible wrong in this chapter that's for sure! Loved it! Loved both chapters actually! You know them so well and, as always, it comes through beautifully! You make this believable that they are a couple married for so long rather than just newlyweds who can't keep their hand off one another. That does change over time and it's reflected here. But it's still so passionate and romantic. Loved it J! Hope you are well!

May I just say, welcome back! I read the first chapter but never got a chance to review. Secondly, this has always been one of my favorite what might have happened with Anne and Gilbert scenarios. And finally, this is the quaratine read that I needed, very badly. Please more! Hope you are safe and well and look forward to maybe some other homecomings that we you come up with because these are divine!

Well, I can see there are shades of The Honeymoon as well as AoI in these chapters. I’m very curious in regards to Gilbert’s reference to the early days of Ingleside. Could there possibly be another story in the works from you? I was always bummed that LMM skipped over those years and I never really knew what went down with Shirley.

I agree that the final chapter of AoI was so maddening and for several reasons.

In AoI I disliked that Gilbert didn’t have Anne’s back when Christine was taking swipes at her nor did he with Mary Maria. But what really turned me off in the final chapter was Gilbert’s telling Anne that he was “glad” she hadn’t gotten fat like Christine. What a strange thing to say to your wife. Ugh.

“Homecoming” is sunny, optimistic and filled with the joys of married love without being sugary. In other words, I didn’t have the urge to gag.
You know how to use restraint so the story (and the sex) remains believable. I just hate it when some writers make Anne very submissive and Gilbert a masterful lover dispute his lack of experience. ( Having a medical degree does not necessarily translate to sexual prowess.)

Your Gilbert is delicious whether as an 28 yo or 40 something.

You know, at the hospital we can no longer have books and magazines around for sanitary purposes so all our reading during down times is on our phones. There is only so much news I can take so stories such as yours are a pleasant diversion.

Everyone has the opportunity to ease the burden for others during this pandemic by using their own God given talents whatever they may be and it truly is beautiful to see.
I need your type of stories to give me a jump-start; you’re contributing a valuable service whether you realize or not.
