Really great emotional grab in this chapter! I love the understanding between Dean and Sam, the raw feels.
Please be advised I have no formal training in the art of writing, (though I have been fortunate enough to be haphazardly mentored due to friendship with ficwriters that do have) my background is in science, so please take all advice I offer with a pinch - or a whole fistful- of salt.
I wonder if you’ll link in Ezekiel‘s valley of the dry bones. Or Abraham, I always enjoyed that Dean was the righteous man since Abraham wasn’t exactly pure as the driven snow and yet the bible sat he believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.

I’m glad you combined this, reading your previous chapters together would have felt more complete as well, a chapter ought to have a certain rhythm to it or a reader feels jipped. Thank you for soldiering through, I think that sin can sometimes be about what we think is sin, like in the bible when they talk about eating certain foods. For Dean sex isn’t a betrayal of his one true love because his truest love has nothing to do with sex (and I mean that in a totally non wincesty way.) Where as John felt he was betraying Mary by loving Kate and fathering Adam.

If they are from the line of the grail keepers why would the zombies attack them to begin with?
Is there an intelligence (a tethered ghost) behind it that could tell they intended to destroy it even before Sam tossed salt and lighter fluid on it? And is the grail destroyed or just buried in rubble. I love the Winchester connection, is Dean our Galahad?

I love things in Supernatural fics that are based on real world websites and research, it gives a richness and grounding to the story.
