Reviews for Ducktales Season 3 Rewritten
Guest chapter 8 . 7/24
If you're doing 'Rumble for Ragnarok', and if Donald and Della are in it, might I make a suggestion... I could imagine this scene...

Scrooge: The truth is, none of you are ready to fight just yet. I am only bringing you along to prepare you for the future.

Huey: Why are you trusting us with that, and not Donald and Mom?

Scrooge: Because you are the new generation! Also, I don't trust Donald and Della to cooperate on a jigsaw puzzle, much less the fate of the universe.

Della: (sitting nearby, groans) Are you still on about what happened last time? We said we were sorry about that!

Scrooge: (glares at Della and Donald) Sorry does not fix the fact that you two almost KILLED someone. The idea is to protect the universe, yes, but almost killing is too far. Della, Donald, you two are even lucky I decided to bring you here at all.

Louie: (looks at nephews) Are they talking about a jigsaw puzzle or...

Huey: (shrugs) With this family? Probably something supernatural or mythical.

-

You don't have to accept this scene, but it would be interesting to see.
wacky620 chapter 8 . 7/23
Good so far, can't wait to see the ending (I'm positive Della and AMJ are gonna let bygones be bygones with Daisy once she apologizes).
Predicted cast listing:

Paget Brewster as Della

Bobby Moynihan as Louie
Kate Micucci as Webby
Kimiko Glenn as Lena
Libe Barer as Violet
Beck Bennett as Launchpad
Jessica DiCicco as April, May, and June

Rowan Atkin Downes as Falcon Graves
Eric Bauza as the Beagle Boys
Jennifer Hale as Gabby McStabberson

Dee Bradley Baker as Ari
Russi Taylor as Young Donald
Kath Soucie as Young Daisy

I know we're probably getting another character that I didn't mention in the cast but this is the order of everyone for now.
DuckTalesFanzo chapter 8 . 7/22
Okay, I get the feeling I'm the reason you made that comment about Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks at the start of the chapter. And TBF, you're only referring to Lena and Violet in the fic, not the canon episode (in the canon series, Lena doesn't seem that close with HDL (even if they are friends by the time of Nightmare on Killmotor Hill) given little one-on-one interaction she has with them falling under the Friends Who Never Hang trope and Violet and Huey obviously aren't a couple in the canon show) where the dynamics with Huey are different than your series.

Anywho, for a story that's having to compensate for Donald already knowing Daisy, you're doing fine so far and look forward to seeing the fourth part of the episode. Kinda prefer it though if you had just retconned Daisy from Legend of the Three Caballeros as some other ex-girlfriend Donald had with DuckTales Daisy being the real one since it'd be easier then rewriting Louie's Eleven (always gonna prefer the show's Daisy over yours since it does raise less questions on why they aren't married like Mickey and Minnie are plus you can always apply broad Strokes to Kingdom hearts by saying Daisy wasn't there in the events of the game) and only thing we'd lose is April, May, and June (though I like them and all) being able to appear on the rewrite but even then their roles as the triplets' female counterparts is kinda redundant when we got Team Magic filling that role in more interesting ways (Violet to Huey, Webby to Dewey, and Lena to Louie) so it wouldn't be that bad of a loss.

You really ought to check out Frank Angones' blog where he does answer questions on the show (and had said on Twitter back in November (when the rewrite was in the early stages) that Donald ad Daisy's first meeting was gonna be in present time in season 3) and has give some clues and hints about season 3 so far just to get a reference on what to do for trying to tie some of the stuff in the story in with the upcoming stuff from the show: .com

Don't think I hate the story, I do like it. But I am human and us humans got the right to have criticisms even for things they like.

Rating for Louie's Eleven so far: 9/10
Disney Boy chapter 8 . 7/22
I thought it was kind of funny that the original was Mark Beaks. I guess it will be FOWL this time. Also I wonder what would happen if we had a funny episode where we follow up on this where Donald and Dasiy recount every 1000 near breakups they've had and Jose tells them that they are a perfect couple probably because of their tempers as a callback to something Goofy said in response to seeing them both lose their tempers at the same time. Scrooge even brings up on how Donald's parents met and fell in love at the same time.
J. Tom chapter 8 . 7/22
Now this was a nice heartwarming chapter.

Finally, Donald got to let his voice be heard when Daisy was being an accusing brat again.

At least Donald got through her head about how she's been pushing everyone away, especially Donald and her nieces.

I liked the flashback. The fight was a good idea, as was Donald trying to help Daisy after he realized he overdid it. And I liked how they made up from that.

It was nice for Donald to understand why Daisy was so busy. And Daisy realizing that she shouldn't have to push away her family when she wants to follow her dreams.

The Hear My Voice moment is always nice.

Donald and Daisy's embrace and kiss is always so romantic.

Can't wait for more!

Honestly, this is one of your weaker episode adaptions. I can tell you REALLY didn't like Huey not being a Senior Woodchuck and not liking Lena's smack talk seeing how Sora, Riku, and Kairi really call her out on it a lot during the episode (even replacing Violet in telling Lena to shush when Huey was telling Della he didn't win with those three doing it instead which honestly feels forced).

In general, Sora, Riku, and Kairi felt more like mouthpieces that were only here really to call Lena out on the smack talk and Scrooge on not remembering his own advice which even then literally anyone else could've done those things. I honestly prefer seeing less of those three. I'm okay with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and the Legend of the Three Cabablleros characters in how they're used but the Kingdom Hearts trio is kinda more on the eh side.

Lena kinda got a little TOO much blame for this. Yes she had the smack talk but come on, she didn't know Huey would be THAT hurt by it seeing how he's suffered worse plus she was just trying to be supportive of Violet (and honestly, Della kinda balances it out too seeing how angry she got with Launchpad when she heard Huey lost).

Also not a fan of Huey being a Senior Woodchuck since that misses the point of the episode showing that failure is essential and Huey being one kinda breaks that. At least Violet already failed three times before so it makes sense why she'd be one. And this just makes the ending so painfully cliche in retrospect. Heck, how's Huey gonna be manipulated by FOWL later on (implied he's gonna lose his mind investigating as the season goes on) if he is a Senior Woodchuck,

That said, got some good elements too. Donald and Della's moments (with Donald getting more dialogue in this) are still good and hilarious like in canon, it's got some of the heart and good qualities of the original, and the battle was kinda cool despite Maleficent feeling out of place on DuckTales.

Overall, it's okay but I prefer the canon version better. 6/10
BensDreamatorium chapter 7 . 7/19
Damn, I actually feel kinda sorry for Daisy here—her own nieces and her sister figure just chewing her out when all she wants to do is succeed. But I understand their frustration at her. I'd be angry too if my parents or my friends paid too much attention to their jobs instead of me.

And those flashbacks...WOW. Just...wow. Somehow, you made the ending to Timephoon even more tense! Only thing that would've topped it off, in my opinion, would be a "call me son one more time!" reference to Hamilton, or something along those lines.

I'm really curious to see how you flesh this out in your rewrite of Season 2. After all, there's still a long way to go before Moonvasion!
wacky620 chapter 6 . 7/19
Nice take on Louie's Eleven so far (and including some of elements from Legend of the Three Caballeros like Xandra and Ari).
And you forgot to include Della in the intro for the chapter.
Looking forward to see where this goes with Della, Xandra, Ari, Lena, Violet, and AMJ being added to the plot with Huey getting a bit involved than he was in canon.
wacky620 chapter 5 . 7/19
Read part 2 of Quack Pack and man it was intense and yet so great, might be your best adaptation of the episodes yet. I do wonder about the mental health of everyone though. I mean, we know Donald's been suffering various nightmares because of what's happened (Especially in Moonvasion) and Lena's own nightmares kicked off the plot for A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill. Starting to wonder if the rest of the group (especially Della and Scrooge seeing the traumas they've had over the years) has had some bad nightmares at any point.
I can sense Moonvasion's gonna be the darkest episode of the series seeing how several major and supporting characters temporarily die according to Quack Pack. I do wonder how Dewey and Webby didn't get killed by Lunaris with Louie, Huey, Lena, and Violet though and the role those two are gonna play in defeating Lunaris (Scrooge too assuming he saw Lunaris killing his own great nephews and honorary nieces).
I can see all four of the major couples so far have their own third wheel (May for Debbigail, June for Louena, April for Huelet, and Della for Donsy).
Interesting to see Daisy still works for Emma Glamour even in this universe.
wacky620 chapter 4 . 7/19
Liking your take on Quack Pack. I can sense Della and Louie's conflict in the final stretch of season 2 is gonna be a bit more dramatic than canon and that Donald may not be going to the Moon (or if he does he'll come back home earlier rather than being on a deserted island) since Lena and Violet got the green light to call him Uncle Donald (presumably around the same time Scrooge, Della, and probably Daisy gave them permission to call them uncle and aunt).
J. Tom chapter 7 . 7/18
OH YEAH! The scheme is in action!

Thank god Della, April, May, and June knocked some sense into Daisy for spending so much time working instead of being with her family. Those slaps were some slaps of sense.

Louie and Lena's couple moment was cute, as was their embarrassed expressions from everyone else's words, especially Della's.

Nice way of having Daisy figure out who Donald was under the disguise.

Dewey taking on the harpies all by himself so Ari could get through. Awesome!

Nice use of the flashbacks. No wonder Louie doesn't want his scheme to go awry, even though Dewey's improvising could help. Della had every right to feel guilty. But it was nice to see her, Lena, and June comfort Louie after those awful words Glamour said to him, same for April, May, and Webby comforting Dewey.

Della reeling a cake into Glamour's face for her words: OH YEAH! BADASS!

But now Graves has unleashed his robbery with extra a help. The darkness within him is strong enough for him to take down with Della and Xandra. Good scene by the way and let's hope they can get him back, as well as Xandra getting her crown back as well.

Can't wait for the finale!
Ninjatana Warrior chapter 7 . 7/18
The party's on! Let's see some action in the next chapter and probably couple dances.
Guest chapter 6 . 7/15
I like this chapter. Violet’s dress is beautiful and will we see Webby and Lena in their dresses? If so, it’ll be great to see the couples dance at the party
Guest chapter 5 . 7/14
Confession time
It’s been a little hard to follow for me- haven’t played Kingdom Hearts in many years- but I found it very good so far nonetheless!
Bobby Moynihan chapter 6 . 7/1
Nice rewrite chapter. I've stumbled across this while in quarantine and this is a really well written chapter. You've really nailed my character very well in this. Hope to see how Phase 2 goes.
