I thought the king of the hill event was creative since most stories just reuse canon. As for character interactions, the only thing I find a little odd is how Naomi and Taro are hanging out with his mother and it isn't the kids and their parents watching along with Inko since I'd assume she knows their parents since they've been Izuku's friends for years at this point but I can also understand not wanting to add one off characters just for the sake of it if they're not going to show up often or have any real significance to plot during their short time in the spotlight. Overall, I enjoyed this chapter and am looking forward to the next one.
