Hmmm. I felt that this part felt a bit rushed. And it’s a bit sad since this is one of the most exciting episodes of the Hunter Exam arc. Also, it’s sad that Leorio lost without much of a fight. I think he would have fared better in this match than with gambling. Also, Bella intentionally losing (to stay canon) seems like a weak rationale. After all, her goal is to keep the four together, which is going against canon.

Those are just my comments. I still look forward to the next chapters.
