Oh wow! The bittersweetness of this story was intense!
I wasn't sure if there was something more serious at the beginning, but you did this perfectly.
I love how Hermione didn't want her daughter to leave! Didn't want her to grow up! It's a common feeling in some parents. And subconsciously for Hermione, a lot of bad stuff happened at Hogwarts, including the war, so reservations do make sense.

This is a very sweet little story. I think you've managed to capture the themes of happy and sad perfectly through Rose's oblivious excitement and Hermione's ambivalence, from the moment where Hermione knew she'd be losing her little girl to the point where she actually had to let go. I feel you characterized everyone well, especially Ron in his brief appearance. with a lot of cute moments sprinkled throughout (I especially liked Rose wanting a Crookshanks of her own and a glimpse of the Twins in her grin). Very well done!
