I enjoyed this. Was not expecting for shit to hit the fan like it did. Well done.

Short but intense. I actually somehow missed the fact that the story said complete so I didn't go in aware this was a one-shot, so the ending actually did mostly catch me by surprise which was a nice bonus. This is actually quite a neat deconstruction on the self-insert fic, and as you said, a good example of "the greater good" being used to justify bad things before circling back around to bite the protagonist in the ass. This was a nice, surprising one-shot. Good job.
