Ahhhh, I'm loving the frequent updates! Seeing the boys forced into a family dynamic and really getting to see what makes them a team is so nice and refreshing. Although it is just as frustrating as ever seeing Sakura get shoehorned. Every time I want to hit Kakashi over the back of the head. I'm curious to see how you deal with this.

I'm so excited to see how the Chunin exams deviate from canon! Also I finally got my little sister to watch Naruto with mewe just watched this part so these scenes are fresh in my mind to compare which is kinda fun lol

I am really hoping Sakura gets some one on one mentoring from someone. Maybe someone giving her genjutsu training since she is already a natural at it anyway.

Great chapter. I really love the team 7 dynamics and that Naruto is not portrayed as jealous of Sakura's feelings towards Sasuke?

aww I loved that mebuki went and gathered them! it always bothered me how Sasuke and Naruto were left in their own, I've always wanted to read a fanfic where something like this happened! thank you so much, you made my day!

Well it is easy to see where Sakura gets her caring attitude from (and a dose of bossiness to be fair). I enjoyed how you wrote both Mebuki and Kizashi in this chapter, and they came across as far more likeable than in canon where they are rather grating in my opinion. At least someone had the good sense to realise that both Sasuke and Naruto need far more support than they are currently getting. I never understood how two young boys could be left to fend for themselves, but I suppose the negative attitude towards both the Jinchūriki and Uchiha explains why the Village never seemed to care.

Omigosh Haha Mebuki to the rescue! I love that the Harunos have a larger part to play. It always bothered me that no adults ever really stepped in and tried to take care of Sasuke or Naruto. You could argue Iruka might have but he only really checked in on Naruto and took him out for ramen every now and again. Glad to see some adults stick their necks out for the poor kids!
I'm guessing the shinobi council or whoever wouldn't let the Harunos adopt Sasuke because they want him to keep the uchiha name and status. Sucks man but at least they're able to force him into proper family situations.
Also, Mebuki reprimanding Sasuke for his language is great. I could just imagine the look on his face as he said that Haha

One thing that bugs me about canon is that in contrast to Naruto and Sasuke, Sakura supposedly has a normal family, with parents that she complains about a bit but no other indication that they were ever abusive. Rather, it’s highly likely that she grows up in a warm childhood home. And yet, I don’t follow Boruto so I dunno, but it doesn’t seem like Sarada visits her grandparents. So I’m actually glad that Sasuke does have a good bond with his future in-laws

I like the closeness between the Haruno fam and Sasuke, i also glad Naruto started to be taken care by them, thank you
