Oh I'm so glad you brought Phyllis into the story and have her be so kind to Patsy. It was lovely! Your description of Patsy's anxiety is very well done. Poor little soul. What a cold parent her mother is! It breaks my heart to read about poor Patsy and Grace having to be grown-up way too early.
