Hey, interesting story so far. It does feel like the intro how Eli became spiderman is dragging on a bit. You started the story off with him having already been spiderman for a couple of months and Batman looking into him then switched gears to backtrack and tell his origin story. Not that its bad to tell his origin but makes that first chapter feel like a red herring and creates a sort of 'get on with it' vibe to have him meet with Batman and join the team. Anyway, other than that I like this take on a 'DC universe spiderman, can't wait for him to meet up and fight that black spider dude.

ps I think he should get with Zatana, she never gets any love in these kinds of stories and I think it could make for an interesting dynamic.

Meh. Could have used a little crime fighting(returning a little old ladies purse would have been fine).
I guess that will happen next chapter.

I'm looking forward to reading more of this story. Also, I know that you said you were ignoring pairings at the moment, but I would like to suggest Starfire. Not enough stories have her as a love interest, and I think she's badass.

It would of been cool if he'd been that Peter Parker who fell into that giant terrarium and became a mass of spiders with Peter's mind.
If Eli is going to protect the Web you can hold off on any permanent pairing since he'll have a multiverse of women to choose from, do some window shopping before buying.

Was Eli bitten by the Miles Morales spider(Spider-Man package plus bio-shock and camouflage)?
It would be funny if Eli developed a little crush on Batwoman to only find out later she's a lesbian.
Lightning Lass from the Legion of Superheroes would make a good match for Spider-man.
