This is great. The dialogue you build with this young character makes it impossible for readers not to root for him and want to know the rest of his story. I’m hooked. If anyone is perusing comments thinking if they should give this a try. Do it. The only reason someone should not read this right away is they want to wait until there’s more because you won’t want to stop reading.

Very interesting. I like where this is going. I wonder who's child Jae is. The only candidates could be Aerys or Rhaegar. Maybe it's one of Rhaella's children that very thought to be stillborn, but that Jaehaerys would be nine by the start of this story. Interested to see how you go from here and if anyone else knows who he truly is. I suspect the knight at the end is Willam Darry so he won't be able to tell this boy. It'll be tough for him to prove who he is.

Hmmmmm... now this is interesting. Who is Jae really?! Aerys’ bastard?! Rhaella’s with Ser Bonifer?! So many possibilities. Definitely going to follow and looking forward to reading future chapters.
