A beautiful story. Extra points for not ruining the effect with a "happy" ending. Although, in a sense, the ending *was* happy, I guess.

Oh, what a beautiful, sweet story. It makes perfect sense that for Lennier the first step to forgiving himself would be loving someone else who also needs forgiveness. And, of course, it doesn't occur to him to judge her at all.

This was a great look into the character of Lennier (who I didn't really like!). I enjoyed this story so much and loved the way you entwined memory and story.

Deborah is a lovely character, and a perfect match for Lennier.

I'm bookmarking this one for sure.

I read this on a nother site years aog, and half of the sequel. Glad to see its on here too, and I've had a chance to re-read it. Still as good as ever. :)

That was really well-done. Deborah was a really interesting character, and I think Lennier could really very badly use someone like her in his life... *sigh* Ah well.

Wonderful story! Well constructed, great characterization of Lennier, and an interesting character in Deborah...also a very interesting way to put Lennier

back on the path to redemption. I genuinely enjoyed this, and am off to read the sequel. Keep writing!
