Actually, I think his thoughts would have been "I wonder how long it takes for these leather bonds to rot away?" and "Which way is land, I wonder?" and of course, "This is really, really, really boring..." as well as "I don't think I really thought this thing all the way through..."

i always wondered. since none of them could die, was bootstap bill just hanging out on the bottom of the ocean until he suddenly came alive again and drowned? think about it, that would suck. his last thought would be 'fuck, they killed my son.'

Great story, it really captures the atmosphere of the movie.
