That was a nice read. It's so hard to find good PoTC Jack/OC story :) this was great

Loved it! I stayed up late reading it, which I haven't done lately, especially when I need to get up in the morning. Worth it.

Though I did feel like you had Winn be a little too reticent. I finally went to bed when she overheard Jack and misinterpreting (that classic point in a relationship story where they have a huge issue so that the end is more satisfying- I get it, but you know, it's a plot arc). But she did it twice, really. Thought that might have been overboard.

You handled it ok with referencing Jack having those same thoughts, but it was a bit thrown in there. Maybe I'm just too practical a person, but I think her still going to England might have been less emo if she had said she wanted to close the affairs of her parents and get that stuff (eg- journal) since she apparently got the note from Elizabeth in preparation. Minor point, but I did feel a bit like doing the 'world's smallest violin' for 1/2 a chapter there.

Great story and amazing background on the family though! I'm from a big family and you must be, too, because you portrayed the chaos perfectly lol.

This has got to be one of the most wonderful stories I ever read! Well done! You managed to catch Jack's character quite beautifully, I only wish I'm able to do that as well. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this is one good story.

I read this story back when I was in high school...in 2006 and tonight as I was re-reading some of my POTC favorites I remembered your wonderful sotry. It took me three hours to find your Fanfiction again, but it still stands as one of the best pieces of work I've ever had the pleasure reading. Thank you for writing and posting on this site!

I'm not entirely sure what to say about this story - I mean, it was excellently written, I loved the plot, the depth of characters was incredible, it was very well done. I laughed, I cried, and I stayed up till past midnight to read it. But, if you'll forgive my rudeness, I felt that it was missing something. Probably only because it's not the usual type of fanfiction I read. I dunno, there were parts were it seemed... too... I don't even know how to say it. It didn't feel very pirate-y to me. And I'm sorry if I'm being rude, I really am, because I write POTC fiction myself. But... this was simply too well written, and just... too good. Hm, maybe I'm actually feeling jealous. Oh well. I enjoyed reading it, and it was a long and good read. You are really a talented writer. And I hope none of my comments cause you any grief, because taht would just be awful. _

Just wanted to say that I did enjoy the story and thank you for taking the time to write it!

Wow...so I inconveniently enough happened upon this fic, and while I normally don't read Pirates fanfics simply because I have other fandoms I regularly follow, this one struck me as different. So I thought I'd read the first chapter. To my surprise, the first chapter was an author's note. That didn't help much, lol, so I went on and saw that you'd suggested a person read the first three chapters before deciding if they liked it or not.

Well, let me just tell you that I'm very pleased that I got caught up in the adventures of Winn Morgan and her captain...er, Captain Jack Sparrow, that is. It was absolutely brilliant, and I love Winn to bits and pieces. She's feisty and intriguing and oh so like me in terms of her beliefs about love that it's scary.

I adore this story and am adding it to my favorites list to read and reread. Now I've noticed that you mention a sequel, so I'll have to look that up, but I just wanted to review and let you know how excellent this story is. It was wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Ok, that's really all I have to say! Great job!
