Reviews for Parallax
skepsis66 chapter 5 . 12/19/2008
Absolutely beautiful. Sasuke's experiences have truly fashioned him into a horrifying character. Retrospection hurts, doesn't it? There's a constant feeling of nostalgia that hovers around him. Tragedy too, sadness over what he has lost. You portray his relationship with Naruto perfectly - something that runs deep within each of them, an almost inexplicable connection. The juxtaposition between the two Sasukes is rather jarring, but it emphasizes the vast differences time can cause in a person. And how much can really be saved. Gorgeous fic.

nates chapter 1 . 5/6/2006
I'm completely incoherent right now. This was just crazyamazingexquisite. A piece of lyrical storytelling that articulated Sasuke's psyche wonderfully. Wow.
ShowTime chapter 5 . 4/8/2006

Neko-nin chapter 1 . 9/7/2005
*Sigh* I apologise for reviewing. Again... But something (again origins unknown) compelled me to review with more detail. I'm sure you won't hate me for this double review since whoever heard of someone detesting compliments? ;

I'm more of a general person. Details don't appeal to me unless it's necessary for me to do so, like your fic, so I'm doing my best here to introduce it to my oxygen craving brain. It's already 9:49am and I don't think my brain would obediently shut down until I'm done with this unusual bout of needing to review. I don't review much, but yours is the first and most probably only one that will ever force me to review, twice. In a row. Please, bear with my lexis and grammer mistakes. I need sleep. *yawns*

How do I start... There was confusion, surprise, morbid curiosity, angst, peppered with bits of heart wrenching of what could have been and what would be. Surprisingly, all of it blended seamlessly together in the scene changes into this sweet, sour and strangely pleasant bitter taste of aphrodisiac that kept me addicted and more awake that any coffee possibly could. Some things were vague, but aptly so and some were so vividly described that it sent chills down my spine. Sasuke really is too poetic for his own good. It's not too dramatic, but silently builds up and hits us when we least expects it, leaving us with an impact most fictions could never achieve. I imagine you must have quite a good chuckle envisioning our facial expressions while reading your fic. You're a first class manipulator that delves into us readers and cons us into handing you our emotions for you to deftly shape it into what you want, however you want to. The very signs of an wonderful author. In the fervor of reviewing, I can't help but pause and wonder if whoever that had gotten into conflicts with you would think twice about doing so if they have known about your trusty pals, literature and vocabulary. It made me wonder about what kind of person you are, too.

It is now 10:27am. Once again, disbelief is etched onto my face as I realize that I've spent more than half an hour digging into my minute vocabulary looking for words to express about what I enjoyed about your fic. This review had turned into a mini-fic itself and it's time for me to sign off. Would it be alright if I added your email to my list? In saying so, it meant that I've already added you as I don't see giving authors the pleasure of replying to readers anytime soon. Maybe you can consider it a warning? ;
Neko-nin chapter 5 . 9/7/2005
Whoa... Your story is really deep and one of the most original that I've read for a long time. It kept me pondering on lots of things about Sasuke... As much as I'm freaked by him killing off all of the characters, there's something to this story that I can't really put to words that morbidly kept me reading all the way till the end unlike the other stories with character deaths that I tend to avoid like the plague. It fasinates me how you mangaed to keep me hooked like a moth to fire; I'm not exactly well-known for my attention span, my love for angst as well as my motivation regarding reviewing stories. It's wonderfully well written and I'm most definitely nominating you for this competition on a Sasuke-centric writing competition if nobody have already done so. I would love to see you writing more SasuNaru fics in the future

Ja ne!
NekoAnime chapter 5 . 9/6/2005
Wow. O_O I loved this story. It was bitter sweet and very thought provoking. (I just saw the fight scene between Naruto and Sasuke in the anime) And it makes me wonder what is in store for them. I'm just sorry that I never read this story earlier, considering how much I loved your Upon a Painted Ocean. Then again I just recently got into Naruto, so that could be why. ; I loved your portrayal of Sasuke and Naruto's relationship towards one another. It was perfect characterization in my opinion. I particularly liked the flashback scene of them fighting and Naruto yelling that Sasuke was 'his ideal' My heart twinged when I read that. Then the irony of Sasuke dying the way he had previously killed Naruto. *Sigh* Really amazing work you have here, as always. I hope you write more. Your too talented not to. _
Chatwyn chapter 5 . 3/16/2005
Really really good fic (though I thought it could've had more slash in it). The older Sasuke was so sad, and while he killed everyone in Konoha, Sakura, Naruto and almost killed the younger Sasuke, I'm glad he had a happy end. ...Because death was the only thing left for him, wasn't it? That was a bittersweet scene. Think about a sequel?
ePuiChi chapter 5 . 5/11/2004

Insomnia Productions chapter 5 . 9/9/2003
What a wonderful way you have of twisting peoples emotions. Extremely well-written and gut-wrenching, let me tell you, especially the end line. It's surprising how well one line can change so much.
