This was so amazing, I loved how you wrote Shido and Ban. Somewhat-drunk Ban was funny and cute and I really enjoyed Shido keeping him company. This was an awesome story. The description and dialogue was really easy to picture happening in the anime. :) Ginji is a ray of sunshine for the part he appears. I wish you the best of luck on your writing!

Wow, It was so cute, and sad, and just so... funny. Very well written, a great insight into Ban (not to mention a great way to get to the truth of his thoughts without being out of character). I loved it :)

Great story! Funny, with just enough hints of angst. The character's interactions are believable and insightful.

Been meaning to review this for aaages (you've been on my faves since forever). This is just a very well written piece with all the character's interactions perfectly spot on (as are most of your stories). Nice one.

This was such a funny story, and at the same time it was the clearest and truest view of the inner Ban that I have ever found. Many times Ban had a totally in-character moment that was unbelievably sweet, like this one-

"Is Ginji doing that?" Midou asked, muzzily.

"Ginji's not here."

"What?" Midou sat up so abruptly he almost banged his head on the sunroof. "Where is he-is he-"

"He's on a job, Midou. You told me not to call him. Remember?"

"Job. Right." Midou subsided. "No Ginji. I'm..."

Ban freaks about Ginji being ok, even when he can't remember anything for more than like a minute. It's a perfect reaction. And the sequence about how he hated Ginji's partner but can't anymore because Ginji likes him was beyond amazing. You just got so much about Ban, Shido, Ginji, and their interactions perfect.

I loved the way you had Ban act so tough when Gingi is not around and just relaxes as soon as he sees him. It really displayed the huge amount of trust that Ban has for Gingi that no words can capture. And his feelings for Gingi through the way he repeated Gingi's name over and over, content to stay in the arms of the one he loves..

Though my favorite is still your other fic 'Convergence', this is a close second.

Wow, Ban and Shido bonding... done *right*. It's like exquisite hurt/comfort, without the slash, and with Shido firmly in character. Ban's vulnerability just floored me; by the time he said of his hated person, "He's Ginji's partner... So there's gotta be something good about him," I was about to cry. These boys are just so, so perfect for each other, and it's stories like these that make me appreciate the series even more.

I absolutely adore this story. The characterization is right on, the plotline is spotless and we are reminded abrubtly that Ban has as many demons, if not more, than Ginji, ones that fester in his soul and make him seem evil and callous. Finding out who exactly Ban-chan hates the most, almost every action Ban does suddenly falls into place that suddenly you wonder who was more lost in the battle between Midou Ban and the Reitei.

Anyway, I love having the story told from Shido's perspective. We know that Shido and Ban don't particulary like each other and so the irony of Shido helping him, and his great reluctance to do so (on both parts) is perhaps even more funny than reading about Ban's rather interesting reaction to the Mickey. Heh, I love Shido's desire to cause physical harm and his reluctance to think too deeply on Makado (whom he obviously has some feelings for). Sweet, touching, and thoughtful, exactly what is needed in this section.

Lo~ve! Stoned Ban is pretty entertaining, and you write him well. This is a very funny story, and I especially like the subtle hints, like the "no S, just Midou Ban" part.
