UGH this is wonderful! BRILLIANT! I LOVE the idea of childhood friends Draco and Luna! It's not impossible! And this was very adorable. I think this is my favorite portrayal of DracoxLuna.

I loved it i have never read any Luna/Draco b4 but WOW!

Normally I shy away from one-shots because, if they're well written, I am left wanting more and I hate feeling that way. Then I discovered Luna/Draco stories. Since they are so rare, I've had to resort to reading even one-shots. Well, I love yours! I like the history you showed through flashbacks. It lent more credence to the change in Draco and to the possibility of a future for them together. To me the characters seemed very real. In so many fics, and sometimes even in canon, it's hard to see why Luna was placed in Ravenclaw. But not in your story. I love the balance you struck between Luna's innocent wonder and inteligence. I also love your Draco! Although you don't really get into how he feels about his parents or Voldemort, one has the distinct impression that deep inside he is a good person. It would be interesting to read your take on Books 6 &7 through a Luna/Draco perspective. I'm not saying your one-shot left me wanting more (cuz it didn't - everything wrapped up nicely), just that it'd be interesting. How would Draco keep his promise to himself of loving and protecting Luna when he is supposed to kill Dumbledore? One wonders...

Now I'm off to read what else you've written cus I like your style.

Well, the idea of Draco having someone living "next door" as he lives in a Manor it's strange and even more the idea of a pier (at least if it isn't a private one attached to the Manor itself).

But the idea of someone (usually this one) planting in a younger Draco the seed of something good it's one of the few way i can see Draco turning something better than a Death Eater.
