Oh good, I found another person who loathes Mara Jade. I do too. I just don’t understand her existence sometimes :(

I think it's a good start, but something I have noticed over time with writers is that phrases such as '{Bad Guy Name} smirked evilly' don't tend to work well with stories. If you have to tell your readers that the big bad's smirk is evil, you're probably not doing your job correctly, but this can be fixed by simply removing 'evilly' from the sentence.
Just some advice you might be interested in, but you don't have to take it!

R2-D2 did not have his memory erased. C-3PO did but not R2. R2 was way too valuable. Not to mention he held proof of who Luke and Leia'a mother was. That, by itself, held immense importance

This is such a fascinating story! Shame you haven't finished it , but I still hope you will :) I love the idea of this force cloaker :D and generally the way you handled the theory of traveling through time and space. So I hope you'll manage to finish it after all ;)
