Merciful Merlin, that was beautifully done. Especially the ending...but such a heart-rending end! And to leave it thus..tragedy! It's truly a shame that you have left the SS/HG realm, most especially such a brilliant story unfinished! :( I would have dearly loved to read the second part you were planning. Your Severus was written magnificently, his way of speaking so deep and eloquent. So tragic, tortured..yet needy. Oh I am just so saddened to have finally found his only to see it's been so long since you've left it. Well, thank you for the beauty of this story..I loved it and hope some day you will return and grace us once more with your brilliance.

Other than that, another excellent chapter, and I like that you've stopped the Septimus/Hermione...sort-of-dalliance because I'm happy that the unnecessary and distracting drama/tension from the triangle it would create won't occur.

A highly entertaining chapter. The plot thickens deliciously. Again, the humor works quite well ("But what has he got Jane Austen for?"), and your Dumbledore always manages to crack me up.

However...

1) There is no such word as "quizitive." It's "inquisitive."

2) I think it's mentioned in the first book that Snape was James's rival on the Quidditch pitch. He was on the Slytherin team.

3) I can't really see Hermione getting drunk with a stranger.

Right before you introduced Neville, you had me thinking for a second that the famous wizard was going to Harry, and though I quickly realized it wasn't, that was a nice piece of misdirection. Fudge's utter obstinacy is hilarious, as usual. Well done.

Delightfully witty and an intriguing premise equals major excitement. Plus, your characterizations of Hermione and Snape are quite accurate, although I'm not too sure about Hermione being "slight and ethereal."

I really really enjoyed this! The story was grovyness, the character's were perfect and...it's just wonderful!

Very well done and I can't wait to read the next part! I've already got it in a page to read now!

OMYG! this is the first hermione/snape fic that i have ever read but i LOVED it! it was really good and it was REALLY well written!it was really original and i cant wait to read the "next installment". one thing i want to say is NO! HERMIONE CANT HATE SNAPE FOREVER! i never thought it b4, but in the way that you developed (sp) the characters, they go really well with each other! please make them be together?

And what a plot twist, to bring back Sirius from the dead. Leave it to Sirius to commit the ultimate act of egocentrism and deny his own mortality. :)
