I have visited this story a lot of times over the years. This is certainly one of my favorite pieces of fanfiction of all time (which I know I'm somewhat biased since Iago is like my favorite character of all time). And although I have no hope that this will be continued, I still come back to it because it leaves an impact. The way you intricately crafted the details in your story and the way you created the twists and turns are still as compelling as the first time I read the story all those years ago. And so, even though I'll most likely be stuck with this agonizing cliffhanger forever, I know I'll still be revisiting this story again for years to come.

Man! I haven't been on this site in ages but I came back to it FOR this fanfic. I read all five chapters in one go, the last I never actually read before. /sob/ This has been my favorite fanfiction for years, and being able to find it again was so great. I was worried it had probably been deleted or lost in the interwebs. I really /really/ hope you can find it in you to write this again. I fear it may be doubtful, as it's been quite some time since you updated it, and if you're anything like me, if it's not the memory that wanes, its the motivation.
At any rate, the artist inside of me, (that is majorly blocked right now) really fancies making a comic out of this story. You paint it so well. Gaaaah.

I really wish you would have finished this. The detail is absolutely amazing and the story is so driven and engaging. I think about this story all the time. I truly wish it could have its ending.

I have to agree with the last reviewer, are you going to finish this story? I know that when you usually do update, the chapters are abnormally, wonderfully long, and the wait is usually worth it. But it still has been a LONG time. And when that happened to Cassim...Gosh, but I really must know what happens next. I'm almost resigned to the very significant possibility of him dying, but I'd really like to see the rest of the story for myself. Anyway, until it comes,

I am SO happy that you've updated this story! This story is phenomenal, very well written! I love your style of writing, it's so detailed and really gets into the character's heads!

I really loved this chapter, I was unable to move from the computer until I had finished it. Aladdin's speech was really moving, it's obvious that you spent a lot of thought and heart into making it, and the whole last part of the chapter with Cassim's fight and Iago coming to terms with himself was really spectacular.

I hope you get inspired to update again soon!

Wow... I've always been a fan of the Aladdin movies/series and the character Iago, but I never expected to actually read a decent, almost novel sized, fanfiction of it! It is also covered in angst (which I love)! Just... keep up the good work is all I can say. I can't critique you at all, since you are a much more talented writer than myself (especially seeing as all my stuff on this site is from about two or more years ago xD). I hope you continue soon, though I'd understand if it took a while since these chapters are INCREDIBLY LONG! :O

wow...that was quite a twist you left us with there! i sure hope cassim survives...he's so cool. i knew that something was wrong with alhazred when he gave iago that odd smile back when they first met aladdin.

i also loved aladdin's war speech, by the way...very inspiring. and the way mozenrath entered the scene...i could see it in my head like i was there watching those skeletons rise up out of the gorund. very cool; i also like how descriptive you got with how gross they looked. and cassim's guilty speech right before confronting leon. and of course iago's brave act with jazel and then with leon! i love it.

I was very pleased to see you had updated this story. As you know, I am a fan of stories focused on war and/or Iago... or, in this case, both. :)

This chapter, in my opinion, was the most well written. Your writing has greatly improved and matured. Everyone was spot-on in character this time, and you captured the essence of war well from a third person limited point of view, which is admittedly tough to do.

Of course, I can't leave out the fact that Iago's coming into his own really warms my heart (but we both know I'm biased). I plan on sticking with this story until the end, no matter how long it takes. I understand the pains of writer's block in certain fandoms.
