You have written a beautiful, sad, bittersweet story about them. Perfectly depicting those two characters.

I love every tiny bit of your FF, really, especially chapter 4. Haru, the season of blossom and promise, yet became the ultimate seperation for them. This is the exact Kikyou the manga wanted to potray, and the Kikyou people should realize. She's not a villain, but a pure miko with a girl's heart thumping in her chest. She wants to love, to be loved, but the wish left unfulfilled. And I feel like Kikyou made her last wish to the Shikon no Tama, to be together with Inu Yasha in another life.

I love this a lot. If this wasn't fan fiction, I am sure the quality of writing would make this a classic to be read in classrooms. Dead serious. This was painfully sweet and agonizing and the perfect love story. There were many little details sprinkled throughout to make this feel more real and quite a few poignant lines that just squeezed on my heart strings.

The Inuyasha/Kikyo relationship is really sad and just not meant to be, really. While I really do adore the Inuyasha/Kagome pairing, I will always enjoy Inuyasha/Kikyo.

I, unlike others, happen to like both Kikyo and Kagome, and get sad when either one of them are bashed. Though, it's mostly Kikyo that's bashed.

Wonderful story. Really heart-provoking and angsty.

But there isn't a future, and that's where it's so sad. But, I digress, Inuyasha/Kagome are very cute together and I'm glad they ended up together. I also glad Kikyo decided to let go.

Whoa. You sure know how to start a story. The words gripped me. This piece was written ages ago, but I adore it.

Wow... I love kikyo honestly, I'm an avid fan of her. I cried at her death (final death) in the manga... I choose her over kagome for inuyasha.. In the manga you can actually appreciate her more.. unlike in the anime it seems like they made her one of the villain... anyway.. great story..thanks for writing,..

This 4-chapter story is simply astounding. You gently turn Takahashi's fascinating, complex characters inside out, while respecting them and keeping them in perfect character. Remaining faithful to canon story line, you walk out moments of Kikyou’s and Inuyasha’s lives during their pre-Naraku relationship,unfurling their secrets with kind but insistent fingers...their attraction is both awkward and inevitable...your sensuous, delicate prose leaves me spellbound as they fall for each other. The lyrics/poetry are beautiful enhancements, and the Afterword is absolutely perfect, Kagome’s POV included. Moving and emotionally believable, this story makes perfect sense in the canon universe and is the best story revealing the love between Inuyasha and Kikyou that I have ever read. Takahashi should be proud. Thank you for sharing this, Sango.

I always thought that Kikyo was a very interesting, multilayered character and that her story (both halves of it) where an excellent example of one perfect love story (If one of the tragic kind - She was sort of doomed from the moment she was given the artifact of doom. you can only include such a "pefect", extremely stilized character if you make them suffer like hell (another example would be poor, poor Itachi from "Naruto", to name a popular example) because else, where's the plot?, it only works *because* of the homungous amounts of drama involved... ) While I never disliked Kagome in any way (I DO go "Oh, how cute~3" whenever she does cute stuff, be it with Inuyasha or in general), I get really upset when I see all these stupid hater bash Kikyo because... well, because she happened to be introduced a little later, I guess. Sesshomaru was WAY more in the grey area than she when he was first introduced, and yet, he has all the fangirls. Okay, I am one of those fangirls, but if the fandom can forgive him for acting like a villain (More so than Kikyo ever did since he got innocents involved), then thinking that the only person who ever treated you like a human being had killed you in cold blood should make ppl feel even more sorry for her. But everything anyone ever remembers about Kikyo are her actions from the very early episodes when she was simply misinformed and understandably bitter.

In any case, your FF was a very enjoyable read. Your descriptions , choice of words and metaphors were top notch, you never missed a chance for making stuff sound epic and the language you chose suits the overall romatic style of the story very well. You really saw and camptured where the beauty of the characters lies (In Kikyo's case, that, in spite of having to be night saitly to a ridiculous, messiac degree(or,later, being dead), she still has these strong human feelings that burst out 'cause they can't be held in anymore...) and what the essence of this relationship was, how they were the first ppl to ever treat the other like a proper person. The additions about Izayoi were nice, too, you could really feel the adoration. For a little boy, his mother is some sort of God...

Also loved your descriptions of Inuyasha's PoV, his more mature side, and how utterly lost and almost wild he was before those two girls, if each of then on her own way, set out to get his mess of a life into order.

It would appear that you stopped posting quite some time ago, but I happened upon this work that so tenderly told the tragic story of Kikyou and Inuyasha. Although I admit to being enarmoured with Kagome and Inuyasha, I have found, recently, that a few writers, you among them, present a poignant story of love and betrayal in their story.

A great end to a great story. It is sad, but it leaves a glimmer of hope. Thank you for writing such an excellent piece of fiction. I liked your story better than Inuyasha in its original form.
