I totally agree with you about your understanding of Goku. You're doing a wonderful job with this story and the progress of closeness that Goku and Chi-Chi are sharing. Plus, it's exciting to see their reactions to learning about Gohan.

Cute. They're such an adorable couple and I think you capture their characters pretty well.

I will have to admit I got a little frustrated at the beginning 'cause of all the nouns as your sentence starters, but someone recommended this to me for good "GoChi wedding night" so I pushed through and actually did get wrapped up at some point, able to envision them. They were really sweet and awkward and adorable and I loved it.

(Also I know this was written like 10 years ago so I totally understand that you're writing has probably gotten a lot better since, so take what I said with a grain of salt; I really did honestly enjoy it.)

This is the most beautiful, well-written, well-researched Goku/Chi-Chi fic I have yet read detailing their first five years together.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for your existence and the existence of this fic.

I absolutely enjoyed every bit of this- their first night together (which is SO realistic concerning these two), their growing more used to each other by the day, their constant intimacies, Goku slowly learning to be a husband and father, Chi-Chi getting more and more acquainted with married life, and all the little tidbits you add in from the Japanese sub/manga. This is truly a wonderful fic, and it is officially my unofficial canon for what actually happened during those five years.

As for my real review, I absolutely adore this story!
A New Beginning was the story that made me fall in love with fanfiction and this is probably my favourite dbz story ever. I can say that after reading tons of fics, this is the only one where Goku and Chichi felt very real persons and closest to the manga and anime. I don't know how you did it, but you pulled it off beautifully.
