Kind of ironic. The way this story implements the harshness of reality into the fantasy of the Pokemon world ends up making it seem even more idealistic, in some ways. Good work.

I like the realism (sp) of the story. There's were mistakes of course but other reviewers already pointed them out. Like somone else said I like how sarcastic Pikachu is. I can't really think of a decent review right now.

Words such as 'guess' in the context of 'I'm sure you've guess' should end in -ed. Just a tip. Why don't you add some hardcore Pikachu x Charmander slash? We'd love to flame it!

Just quietly, we don't think that Pokemon is sophisticated enough to go in-depth to such an extent; your writing is on the whole decent, however this is Pokemon, not the Discovery Channel. So keep it as the mindless babble we all know and hate.

Interesting, I suppose. I bit of a larger dose of reality here than in many other pokemon fanfictions out there. I'm not really certain I like that or not, as it seems a little out of place, but oh well.

This probably falls under the category of the more 'controversial' fics. Pikachu is explaining how the wild is just as harsh as pokemon battling is, then it seems as if pikachu is sticking up for Ash and his pokemon battling. Personally, I can't really see how a pokemon would do that unless it was totally brainwashed. It doesn't feel right at all.

I suppose you made a few good points here. Different than a lot of other fanfictions out there, though I can't say I really agree with the theme.

This was dark. . . it started out quite barabaric and yet ended on such a tender note.

This line really made me cringe:

LOL. I am realy enjoying this saracstic, more blunt side of Pikachu. He has a much darker past in this fic than I ever would have imagined!

The end was so sweet. Pikachu really loves and admires Ash! It was a lovely way to finish the piece.

Interesting fic. I'd have thought the abandoning of a newborn would be more likely than the eating of one (cannabilism within nature is rare), though. And was that a hint of romance at the end of the fic? A fairly pleasant touch and would help to explain the obvious jellousy Chikorita feels towards Pikachu.

Overall, a very enjoyable read.

Just curious, though, were you going for a tone somewhere between angst and nature documentary, or did I just read something that either wasn't intended or there with that?

Too angsty to understand for me... what is written there I really cannot understand at all. Maybe it's me who is wrong, but I just can't understand. So, please write more understandable. Well, it's just advice.

You treat pikachu and its forms as carnivorous whereas the show states they are herbivorous.

A refreshing perspective. It's nice to see something other than "peace and harmony until humans came along," whether it's in pokémon or real life. There are quite a few typos in here, though, which makes it a little difficult to read. But all in all, I liked it.
