Woo, this is very good. I the backstory was brought in in a good realistic manner and I paticularly enjoy the kenshin vs shinsengumi inyteractions because you got them right how they are enemies and yet not quiet yet trying to kill each other. I look forard to an update.

I know what you are talking about I will also spend my time studying for a comprehensive exam! In Hungary half-term is pretty terrible in the uni. I am Hungarian-English major and on Hungarian major the Linguistic Comprehensive Exam is the demon for the whole population of the major, only the fanatics and the lucky pass it for the first time... This will be my first try, and I am facing this with the calmness of the chanceless, my room-mate cannot understand why I am so calm before exams! hah, freshman... oh, I rambled, sorry *sheepish grin*

I am so clueless where this story is going, everything is so fuzzy (Kiyosato and Aoshi and why Sano died, or did he really die?), but not because it is illogical... oh no... I understood everything up to now, but I still cannot link enough things to guess what will happen! And I love to make guesses privately and watch if they come true or not... so anyway! Thanks again! i was very interested in reading your story due to your excellent summary. after reading four chapters of it, i have decided to read no more because of the way you are writing this style. i HATE that you're pulling this "speaking to his soul" shit. and after having kenshin denying for FOUR chapters who he really is, why would he randomly admit to being the hitokiri battousai to random men getting out of a car. he didn't even TRY to deny who he was. if he was really in hiding...he WOULD HAVE because what if those guys had belonged to saitou? then what? then saitou would have known and kenshin would be done.

fucking ridiculous.

And so the mystery thickens. I'm very curious about the curse; the world you've created seems rooted very much in reality and then there's this magical curse that bind Katsura and Kenshin. Can't wait for the next chapter.
