I admit, I was surprised by the outcome. I had actually guessed that since Sam couldn't really bid on Jack, she'd bid on Daniel, Janet on Jack and then the four would have a double date, basically.

You know, I don't usually enjoy the type of fics that are just Never Gonna Happen - I can't get over the cringe factor and usually stop reading pretty quickly but for the most part this was distinctly lacking in said cringe factor. Even better, it was really funny with some brilliant one liners and side comments that seem to be a theme with your writing!

Absolutely hysterical story. I giggled all the way through it. Great work. One teeny point re the zatarc test. We never heard what Sam said during the 2nd test; only Anise saying "you also are not a zatarc", so anything Sam might have said is just a supposition on the part of any authors using that reference. She may have said she had inappropriate (love) feelings for Jack; she could have said she thought of him as a friend; she could have said she was terrified of what he was willing to do to save her, etc. ... (just my opinion).

A hilarious and truly enjoyable read. Got a little smutty there towards the end, but... meh. I like the lyrics you put at the beginning, too. Nice job.
