woot! i liked this story.

Lack of sleep makes this review short and kind of fail, but I couldn't /not/ leave one!

This story is amazing! The harder I look in this fandom, the more well written fics I find, but it's still a bit dicey when I check out a new story. I had nothing to worry about with this one! Your writing stye is great, easy to read, and it flows nicely and quite comfortably. Your characterization to me is almost spot on, you're able to write a more serious type fic without sacrificing Zim's spark, which, in my experience (however limited it is in this fandom [terribly, /terribly/ new to Invader Zim]) is something quite rare. You've created a plot that's intriguing, and I'm excited to see what happens next! Unfortunately I'm too tired to offer much constructive criticism, but looking at your story, I can't see it needing any! You're an incredibly talented author, and I hope that you continue this fic. And a happy holidays too~!

I love this story. You have done an excellent job of keeping everything as it should be as far as the characters and backstory are concerned.

I love the idea of Zim reactivating inside Zita's body. It is so funny.

Hmm... interesting. The idea of Zim in Zita's body is creeping me out, though. Humans are creepy. Poor Zim.

I'm getting to the point where I'm too tired to properly review, yet this story is so addictive I'm still reading. I mean DAMN, this is AWESOME! It's cool to see a story taking off from an uncancelled script; I likes it very much.

Dib's changed hasn't he? And poor Zim... ah well.

Oh, I see why the prerequisite reading was required now! Zim died in that episode after all, and Dib still has the Pak... wow, awesome. Seriously, this is COOL. All sci-fi spooky! I'll read more now.

Ah! So it all comes together. Sort of.

I really liked the scene with Zim looking at his dead body, for some reason, and the little rant that followed. It was just such an...interesting reaction. Nothing how one would expect him to, at first. All the dialouge was interesting here, actually. And such a great cliffhanger.

I eagerly await more, but shall be as patient as possible all the same.

As promised, the review.

First of all - one of the mini details that struck me about this chapter was the way in which you incorporated the humour. The tampon joke would not have been funny done ANY other way, although I am SURE that other, less-talented individuals would have tried (Because feminine hygene products are so obviously hilarious, yes?). Also, along the same lines is the computer dialogue, which too retains the sarcastic humor overtone that's prevalent in the show.

Zim's blah-di-blah-blah rendition of the death of a yellow dwarf star had me rolling.

And...I just love all the stuff you're bringing back. One of the details of the series that always sort of irked (no pun intended) me, was the fact that a story would happen, and that would be it - until about the time that Tak showed up - and only then did we get a handful of episodes with continuing plot. Reusing some of those plots is really what makes this story an original piece. Very cool to see the Earth under a non directly Irken threat.

Hehehe, I liked the tube thingies comment...it made me laugh.

I don't know where I got this idea, but when I finished the last chapter I somehow thought Dib was going to put the Pak on Gaz.

Zim's maniacal personality is still trapped in a "pitiful" human body that can't keep up with him! Great translation of the expression "stab in the back!"

Wow... imagine seeing your own dead body... now THAT'S creepy.

I was sorry to read in your author's note that this series doesn't interest you as it once did, because I sure haven't lost interest in this story and I believe I speak for quite a few!

I do greatly appreciate your intentions to finish this magnificently written tale. I'm sure each one of us can name a fascinating, articulate and well crafted fic which we had been avidly following with bated breath only to see it run out of steam and vanish.

If it comes to that, I'll even take a shortened version with less detail... as long as you please, please do finish! Especially that it's getting really interesting!
