A tame retelling of canon, with some focus on Remus and Sirius supportive roles for Harry.

Some circumstances were changed significantly while the unfolding events were somehow largely unaffected. I would have loved some focus on the champions or other things happening in the background instead of re-telling canon in broad strokes.

A very good sequel. I certainly will go on to read the third!

This was a better segment than canon!

It's really hard to read about Ron being stubborn and jealous. The whole story point is extremely over done. If Harry needs some kind of conflict with his friends why is it always Ron and is made to make him look like an immature brat. Ron has been through his share of near death life experiences. I'd like to see Harry fight with Ron for a real reason other than jealousy and fight with Hermione for something other than her constantly prying Harry of his secrets. It would also be nice to read a Harry who didn't feel the need to keep everything a secret from his friends.

Wow! Things seem to be going so much worse for Harry now that he has a great support system. I was really hoping that Cedric would get away!

I really love the way you have chosen to write Harry. He seems so much more mature than in canon. So much more... 3D. I love what you did with Remus and Sirius, and the way you wrote and humanized Dumbeldore. All the characters are very well constructe. What you did with Harry's uncontrolable magical grow was also very fascinating.
Your writing is quite mature compared to a lot of other fanfictions and this makes the reading quite agreable to follow.
The third year arc was really well composed and the divergences from the canon events maked it quite interesting to follow as a fanfiction... until this arc (explanation bellow).

You begun so well with the first arc that I was shock to see you regresse so much in this one. In the precedent story, you were slowly detaching yourself from the canon events (and that was good!), in this one, you suddenly came back to the base like you have been frighten by your own daring.
Your obstination to stick to the canon story is quite worrying. I didn't choose to read your story just to regurgitate all the canon events of J.-K. Rowling's writing.
It wasn't always very logical. You just repeated all the canon versions of the tasks and it shouldn't have been possible. Butterfly effect ! All the new events and new interactions, with Harry's maturing as a person but also, socially, magicaly and intellectually should have changed his way to do and think everything. He should have been smarter than that ! Besides, I find it too bad that you still decided to kill Cedric eventhough you had the balls to make us have false hope (go to hell !).

What I fear in the following arc is to see you copy stupidly all the canon events in J.-K. Rowling's story without changin anything. Will you kill Sirius too ? Will you follow all the canon events until seventh year, never changing anything major and will you write an identical ending ? I will see in the following story and decide if I want to continue or not.

I feel like harry should have started on occlumency lessons the minute they realized that there was a connection between Riddle's mind and Harry's but that's just how I would write it

I love all the little differences in this version of the Tournament. I do love the tri-patroni and that the two stayed to keep him company, though I'd love to know how that happened lol. I was hoping that Cedric would make it through this one but I guess it would have messed up your ending. I kind of wish that Fudge had been there to see the way the others were but he'd probably have said that Harry somehow confunded him or something.

I never understood why JK had the ball on x-mas day. It would have made more sense to have it the day before everyone goes home. So everyone could be with family for Christmas.

Harry never did eat dinner which was the main reason he went to the kitchen.
