I love how we all make Claire and Charlie this super-romantic, make-your-heart-melt, cheesy, couple. In reality (or on the TV show) they're not, be we still love them all the same. What I was getting to in my long tangent, is that I think you made it a bit too romantic, but that's okay, because everyone seems to do it.

It was wonderfully sweet, especially how you eased the transition of Charlie's shift into parenthood, parenthood to a child that isn't even his.

Just one big huge heart warming smile. That is what this fic was. Thanks for the that! I needed that.

I just started watching Lost on DVD and have only gotten through about 3 disks of the 1st season. So of course, being impatient for the rest of season 1 to arrive via Blockbuster online, I had to find darling fics to keep me happy. Boy, did I luck out! You write the most amazing Charlie/Claire, it is so perfect and sweet and wonderful. I adored this shared moment between them and fear that there will be no such moment anytime soon in the show itself. Thank you for this wonderful little fic to read! It was well written and perfectly in character, My favorite part: "Somewhere in there, he was almost certain he'd told her he loved her, but he couldn't be sure, and he didn't dare ask."
