Dumbledore was a WEASLEY?! Well that's different. I've never read a story where Dumbledore used to be someone else and a Weasley at that!

I don't understand Dumbledore in this story. He takes everything of importance away from Harry - Ron, Hermione, the Weasleys, Sirius, Remus. He refuses to give him critical information that is directly related to his future. He denies him the wand that chose him and says "maybe" he'll get his father's wand. Where the heck has his father's wand been and why doesn't Harry have it already?

He does all of this to Harry and still thinks Harry will fight for the world that has stripped everything he values away from him?

He's already been declared dead. He should figure out how to strip any tracking spells from himself and get away. Why trust Dumbledore when the man doesn't trust him?

I happened upon this story and I must say it is a great spin on the time travel genre. Your storyline is both original and compelling, it's a pity it has remained uncompleted so long.

This is the most self depriciating Harry story i have read and thankfully i am stopping here.

Where was the police in the previous chapter, Harry did not live in a wizarding community, telephones do exist, people react to a gunshot being heard ...

Why weren't the Dursleys concerned at all about the reaction of their world to them performing a murder? That they figured they could abuse Harry because the police wouldn't react since they weren't watched closely is one thing but even then they would have a hard time thinking the same about shooting someone.

How did Vernon get access to a gun? They aren't sold to everyone in Great Britain, you need to apply for a special permit to get one and handguns are banned which means you cannot get one from a shop at all, you even need a permit to own an airgun. This limited access to guns is one of the things that explains how death eaters faced such low exposition to danger when going for muggles, in towns citizens are basically unarmed.

I wonder why Petunia's reaction is to be afraid of Wizards, they're in a small street in England, Harry's screams were of obvious suffering and heard through the walls into Vernon and Petunia's room while they were asleep which means they were also heard in the streets, after that Vernon fires a shot without silencer which would also be heard in the streets ...

With no other elements available the common reaction would be for police to be called and intervene on scene, Vernon can't deny having shot his nephew so he would be arrested, if there was no body it would be even worse.

Petunia shouldn't fear the Wizards she should fear the reaction of normal people because none of the stuff invented by Vernon would hold sway to any investigation.

I gave your story a chnce and wasted my time on reading 9 chaprters of your story. i didnt bother reading too far in this story. your story is completely unoriginal and uninteresting.

This story is rather mediocre. one thing id like to point out though is a little flaw with writimg the notes. all dumbledore would have to do is summon all the notes to him and destroy them. its not like he is dumb enough to believe they wouldnt have done something like that as a precaution. if you were going to have them leave a note the least you could have done is put it in a vualt or something.
