Wow this story is better than I expected keep up the good work (thumbs up)

Wow. All I can say is: The best Halo fanfic I have ever read.

I am always on the search for a good quality halo fanfiction with a rivetting storyline, excellent grammar, characters I can sympathize with and just general amazingness. It is incredibly hard for me to find such works of art, and on the rare occasions that I do, I will give appropriate feedback to the author. I have read through the whole main 'section of the story, and I am soon going to read the Forerunner Chronicles. I am very excited to see how you are going to portray the Forerunners in his section of the fanfic. So here is some things that I have enjoyed thus far in reading your story.

First: The quality of storytelling is absolutely brilliant. This is easily equal to a Halo novel written by Eric Nylund. The story is incredibly well structured; the various plotlines all come together in ways that I would be hard pushed to find anywhere else. The suspense that is built up throughout the story is massive, particularly at the ends of chapters, and your author's notes adding that extra bit of tension when I wonder what will happen next. I have read parts of the story before, but that was quite a long time ago, but up until now (well actually about a week ago) I have not made a genuine effort to read the entire thing. I am glad that I have done so. With so few grammatical errors and such obvious care on your part as the author, this story has been an absolute pleasure to read, and I dont want it to end, although I know it must - y'know what they say, good things dont last forever. If Halo 3 hadn't come out then I would consider this as official Halo canon.

Second: The characters in the story are so well portrayed that I can sympathise with every one of them. Whether it be Janissary Jame's eagerness to join the Master Chief in his fight to save Earth to the Arbiter's realisation that his whole way of life had been but a lie, and his dedication to redeeming himself in the eyes of humanity for all of his past crimes, from Avery Johnson's struggle to come to terms with the fact that his fellow Marines always seem to die while he always seems to survive, to Fasul's revelations about the truth of the fate of the Forerunners, I can always relate to the characters and share in their plights. You have stayed faithful to the personalities of the already established characters of Halo canon, while developing new characters as the story progresses, giving them unique attributes, their own backstorys, and giving us enough insight to allow us (the readers) to relate to them. Bringing in so many characters, both canon and you own products, and developing their individual plotlines, while somehow still linking them with on another, is truly a feat not many could accomplish.

Third: The story... It's darned amazing.

Truly this is a masterpiece, easily comparible to the likes of Nylund and Staten. Never before in a fanfiction have I come across such a rivetting read. Seriously, this should be on paper. Get it published, and you have a genuine Halo novel, for all intents and purposes. Can't wait to read up on the Forerunner Chronicles - I have a feeling I am going to be surprised at every turn, just as I have been for the past 23/24 chapters of the story. You should go on to write Halo novels, that is the calibre this writing is. Truly.

mmmmmmmmmm very long and well written story. Tis something to distract me for hours on end, and i enjoy it.

Great stuff, I am of course frustrated at the amount of time you took, but you have delivered the kind of conclusion to the Forerunner arc I was hoping for.

Your diction really conveyed the barren emotional landscape of the Majal.

The inclusion of the 'crystal' was a nice move, why shouldn't you include the gifts given by the canon writers?

I would have to say that my favorite aspect of your story was the treatment of Fasul's (and by extension the Majal's) own morality. He shifts from a completely numb sort of fear, to caring very much about the monument and hope, yet within the space of a few lines it has been destroyed and only hope remains. The use of fear and hope as motivators is inspired.

I can only say that of all the chapters you've written, this one shows the greatest insight of all.

I suppose you'll only take another two years to bring out the next chapter?

, about 4yrs ago I found this Fan-fic on and to this date its story still enthralls me. I have introduced and printed over a thousand pages to give copies to all my friends and halo-fans. Every now and again, someone asks me about this story; "whens the next chapter coming?" and yet it still brings a tear to my eye when they ask.

This is my plea; Please write another chapter of this story. Even if its a few lines saying that they all died of random causes. Just please write another to help finish this story. I beg of you.

I'm still kicking around. I used to check back here once every month or so to see if anything was updated. Then I stopped for almost 1/2 a year. One day, i was cleaning out my favorites folder and i found the link to End of a War. Since it had been eons, I almost deleted it out of frustration, but decided to check back once more. To my surprise you had updated it and on that day in fact! To think, I almost never came back.

Its now been about a month and I'm back again to see if anything is new. Please keep up the work, I love this story!
