I'm really enjoying reading the old 'issues' of the New Kyoto Post! Nice blend of PMK and RK, and loved the use of authentic historical details. So Shishio is taking over the advice column? Must read on!

Umm... Shishio did off the traitor in the OVA. Katsura only watched. Remember, he promised Takasugi in the OVA after hiring Kenshin that he wouldn't draw his sword again, in order to keep his own life virturuos because Kenshin's work would taint his soul.

For someone who hated to do historical research it really does not show. I believe you did a good job with these newpapers. I look forward to reading any other fanfics of yours.

Very interesting! Poor Umeko... she really liked that guy. Just curious, but when exactly did Umeko start seeing ghosts? She couldn't see them during the course of this fic, but she could during the Meiji... Was her breakdown what triggered it?

Tsunan-chan is the cute. I just love him so much. Sano used to be my favorite but he's too brash and loud for me. (Though Tsunan's ultra serious, the poor baby. It's getting worse with every day now, neh? That's why it's good to keep Hiko close by.)

Nami's note at the end of the advice column was very, very funny to me- probably more than it should've been. I do love dear Umeko-okasan though.

So maybe I should address the main issue of this chapter? T_T Poor Ryoma. I really should read the rest of PMK... as I'm just pretending to know what's going on. I need to read 3 and 4! And 5, of course, but I'm too lazy to ask my mom to drive the 15 min. to B&N...

It's a fairly straightfoward deal here, I know, but I'm fuzzy about the background of it.

What's worse, I must admit, is that I'm fuzzy about the sides people were on back then! Ergh. I know more about this than the rest of my entire Japanese-history-ignorant school, but it's not enough for moi. Hmm. Well, I'm certainly not asking you to lay it out for me, so don't. :D

What? Possibly more deaths? AH! Be reasonable, senbi-sama. I'll cry. I will actually, physically cry if you kill these people off, especially poor Saya-chan. What did she ever do to anybody?

Ha! I finally got around to reading this! Great job; just as amusing as the Meiji one! Unfortunately, I'm not as familiar with most of the events as I've only seen the first 15 episodes of PMK and none of the manga yet. I love the Kenni/Sou friendship you created... that's just so cute really :) And Shishio as the replacement advice columnist was hilarious! Looking forward to the next issue!

Boy, Saitoh just keeps getting in deeper and deeper. Why was Tokio in such a hurry to marry him? Okay, I'm kidding. Saitoh's actually one of my favorite PMK and RK characters, so it tickles me to see him portrayed this way.
