Amazing. Probably the most emotional I've gotten over a fanfic. Wedge is one of my all-time favorite characters, and this just seemed too likely a scenario that I couldn't help but mourn with Wedge. Thank you for writing it!

But still, maybe it was just a little implausible. Wedge isn't the ultra cold sort (that's his brother-in-law Soontir). I always thought he was the type who showed his grief, at least a bit. A sabacc face to hide pain doesn't suit him very well.
Ah, well, I could always be wrong. After the death of everyone he held dear, maybe this reaction is expected. And anyway it's a very good read.

I come back to this story, time and again, every couple of months. Hauntingly beautiful. So easy to throw on a sad violin song in the background and read this fic over a couple times in a melancholy night. Thank you for providing a quality outlet when I have one of 'those' nights.

Fantastic story - I've recently got into SW fics again, and have had a really hard time finding any decent X-Wing/Wedge fics that manage to keep him in character. You've done fantastically well, and a brilliantly written fic. Well done!

My heart squeezed up by reading that. First, I love Myri, and it's a character not used enough I think, and I love the idea she take Mirax's continuation like that. I'm impressed the way you changed my perception of Wedge. It's my favourite character in SW and I never see him this point, it's amazing. I hope you'll write other stories like that, it's great.

I like this one. You're very right, Wedge is a survivor, and all the Wedge death fics out there make me laugh. Or sigh and shake my head, depending on how he dies and how the fic is written. Kudos to you and way better ideas!

Agh, I'm crying. Somehow, watching someone keep all that bottled up inside is more heartbreaking than someone incapacitated by sobs. Lovely, interesting take on Wedge's psyche.

That was damned amazing. Sad, but amazing. I defy anyone to read that story and come out with a dry eye. You definitely have skills. Perhaps you could crank out another Wedge fic.

I really liked the idea showing Wedge how he has to cope with his later life. And i liked your way of telling it. unfortunatly i see Wedge then, raising an orphaned grand daughter in a world that is still be dangerous... but thats just me. So don't take this comment too serious and believe me that I liked your idea.
