Reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Heart of Darkness
Axcel chapter 20 . 11/28/2017
Ha bullshit. Not only would the King's own guards have killed him for betraying Link, but EVERYONE remembers the Hero and his actions. Which means the king would have immediately been deposed and no one would believe any attempts to discredit him. You can't lie about someone whom everyone witnesses doing good instead of the bad you claim. Duh!
Axcel chapter 18 . 11/28/2017
Impa would never suggest that. She would be the one that Link would put Zelda's happiness first even if it hurt him. Trying to make a bou jealous NEVER works when he cares about you as more than a possession. Because he will ALWAYS accept losing you if it makes you happy. If you come clean with him, he will be disgusted that you abused someone's feelings like that. As a tool to use against the one you love, no less.
Axcel chapter 15 . 11/28/2017
Link carrying his sword at his hip instead of back? HERESY! Heresy most vile!
Axcel chapter 15 . 11/28/2017
Triumphing over darkness, not shadow. Those are separate in Zelda and if shadow were bad then Impa would be a villain.
Axcel chapter 13 . 11/28/2017
Your plot has become self-defying. Or perhaps self-averting would be more accurate. Ganon can ot use the Heart of Darkness to control the Triforce because the Triforce defeated him and sealed the Heart and so is more powerful. Certainly too powerful for him even with the Heart. Which means even if Ganon wins he still loses.
Axcel chapter 11 . 11/28/2017
Link's sense of humor makes me wish he was like that in games.
Axcel chapter 7 . 11/28/2017
Ganondorf only got the Triforce of Power, not the whole thing. Also, the word Triforce is somehow recognized by my iPhone...nice.
Axcel chapter 1 . 11/28/2017
The final fight was at Zelda's former castle, not Death Mountain. Link was ten, not eleven.
Wraith Five chapter 1 . 3/8/2014
Interesting so far, but I have to admit, present tense is a little irritating to read. I think present tense is only really considered 'appropriate' (bad word, couldn't think of a better one) outside of dialogue when the story is written in first person or (sometimes) during a flashback. I will admit to being quite a ways into this fic, since I'm reading it on my Kindle, but I think the use of present tense is the only thing I can find wrong with it so far. (I did notice the Version 2 on your profile, and I would advise trying to use past tense outside of the dialogue, rather than present tense.)

The Triforce isn't spelt Tri-Force, it's, well Triforce

I got really mad when I realized there were no chapters after this one... anyway.

It's been three years, I think, since I've read this story, and once I found it, I couldn't stop reading it, despite the fact that I have finals this week (the horror)

Reading this back over with fresh eyes, I really think you've done really well in giving this whole thing an epic feel, the way a legend should be. Sometimes you moved the plot along a little to fast for me to follow, and it got a little erratic at times with all these new characters stepping in and out, but in general, it's great. I was a little disappointed that Dark Zelda's role in the story was so short-lived, though. You built up a lot of suspense with her, and I was really hoping for a confrontation between normal and dark Zelda, but that's your choice as a writer, I suppose. Or maybe you plan to bring her back like you did Azrael ;)

(minor character note: the fact that Dark Zelda can still call a skeleton "my love" is pretty twisted. I _loved_ that xD)

If I haven't said this before, I really do think this is one of the best OoT continuations on the site (of those I've seen). The present tense thing gets a little awkward at times and there are a few instances where you're inconsistent, but that's okay; it gives you liberties that writing in the past tense doesn't really allow for. What else...

Holden seems like a wimp, and Kareena hasn't gotten much action. I want there to be a final showdown between her and Nabooru, though Nabooru getting her powers back would mean Kareena losing hers, right? I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU KILLED RAURU. (had to get that out. Old grandfatherly figures always make me happy ;;)

Looking forward to your next update, and I'm very happy you're planning a sequel. Just don't get ahead of yourself and rush it )

Thanks for writing! xD

Awesome! Another update and just in time for the new year too. Things aren't looking too good for our heroes now, with the surfacing of new and powerful foes. I have to say, I really like the way you incorporated a bit of Twilight Princess into the story. A shame about Iltar really, I was rather hoping he'd change his ways and bow to Zelda's authority. Oh well, perhaps now he'll have a more significant role as a powerful nemesis to the Sheikah. Definitely looking forward to the next chapter. Oh yeah, I know it's a little late now but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Dave1307 chapter 39 . 1/1/2009
Nice, did I see some Twilight Princess influence there? I hope so, cos I like it. Besides, I waited years for the rest of this!
OOT Champion chapter 38 . 12/20/2008
Oh wow. I randomly felt compelled to go through my Firefox bookmarks and chanced upon the one for this fanfiction and you just happen to have updated for the first time in ages. Can't even begin to say how glad I am to see you're back. All of my other favorite authors seem to have given up on writing so I haven't been to this site in...I can't even remember how long. Wow this chapter has advanced the plot in a lot of ways...Zelda has signed up for a deathmatch, a new sage has awakened, alternate Zelda dead...what next? I hope you don't feel rushed to bring this story to a close. I've really enjoyed seeing it come together, so please take all the time you need to do it the way you've always envisioned it. After all, I, along with the rest of your fans have waited this long, so we're clearly willing to wait as long as it takes to bring closure to this epic tale.
