That was a very realistic story! While your writing was amazing, it was slightly depressing.

This is... so sad. I never really thought about the Inuzukas having to tell their children that the dogs wanted to fight and kill. It's a really good and thought provoking story.

Very nice.

I especially liked this part: "Kiba frowned, because that didn't sound quite right to him. "But that was a long time ago... what if the doggies now don't wanna fight? Or hurt people? What if they're peasa... pasi... uh, peace doggies?" He clutched Akamaru against his chest. Akamaru was small and cuddly and happy and licked his face a lot, and he didn't think Akamaru had any particular interest in being a fearsome ninja-dog, and Kiba thought that he liked him better the way he was anyway."

He'd be such a cute kid. I also liked how Ino was played exactly as her character. All of them were but I really like how her beauty and feminine guile is used exactly as it was cultivated.

And ain't that the truth. There'll never be enough ninjas to replace the ones that are lost.

Hmm, seems like there should be more, but a really good fic. You portray the childhood of the shinobi world perfectly, and it is a bit depressing :/ Keep writing. :)

This is indeed a different perspective from the awe and respect that seems to come with being a shinobi. Indeed, perhaps these young ones hadn't considered, or truly been given a choice on whether they wished to follow in their clan's footsteps. You make it sound as though, since they're so used to it, they've learnt to accept it. Of course, I'm sure it might not be the case for everybody, but this surely explored that other side.

I was a little disoriented, however, with the segments of this fict, because you brought Kakashi and Minato in, but I think I managed to see your point: that these kids are shinobi, and that perhaps it was the only childhood they knew of.
