That was really well done - William/Spike through his development was spot on, all the voices rang true, and the attention to detail, both historical and canonical, grounded the story nicely.

I very much enjoyed this story. It provides some plausible background on Spike as well as some solid justification for his powerful attraction to Buffy. The bit about Miss Edith was a nice touch.

Love it. Possibly my very favourite story ever. The narrative and plot are so authentic that I often find 'Glorious' and 'Fool For Love' blurring together in my memory. Absolutely perfect Spike characterisation, well-researched settings, Spike-esque poetry. A pleasure to read.

What more can I say but WOW! Absolutely fabulous job of characterization. You set the atmosphere perfectly. The classical allusions (both in the poetry and in his thoughts/speech) were an inspired touch and captured an essential element of Victorian England and Englishmen perfectly!

There you go. You've ruined it for us all. No matter what Joss 'n Co write now about Spike's turning and all that, it will never be as good as what you wrote here. ;-) Seriously, this one was a masterpiece.

Wow! Just . . . wow. This is amazing, a perfect exploration of Spike's first days as a vampire. Everyone's in character. This is fantastic. Great work!
