Hmmmm...I think this would have been better had Delia and Jay gone through with signing the divorce papers. This just seems kinda sugar coated, and relationships don't get fixed automatically like peaches and cream. Granted, I'm sure it happens, but probably very rarely. This just seems kinda sappy and contrived, though I do appreciate you having Jay and Delia talk things out. Well, this story's already complete, so who am I to complain? The rest of it is very good!

I've never heard the song Stars Fell on Alabama before, so I have no idea what it sounds like. But I like how the title of your fic references it. Nice work!

Now this was a really good chapter. It really strengthened the bond between Ash and Delia, and allowed Ash to see it from Delia's perspective somewhat. Of course she wouldn't want to get back with Jay after what happened. Who would? I certainly wouldn't want to remarry someone who had an affair. And I actually found Ash getting scolded by Delia earlier rather realistic. Divorce papers are important. If my parents caught me ripping important stuff that they needed, I'm sure they would have done the same thing to me!

Wow. You're really capturing Ash's inner pain and internal conflict extremely well. Lots of kids think its their fault that their parents divorce, even when it usually isn't. You're doing a great job with this fan fic. I'm surprised I never came across it sooner!

Durn. Gary's quite a jerk in this. I don't blame Ash for wanting to beat the crap out of him. He is ten after all, so I guess he can't really know when it's time to be reasonable and think rationally.

While I do think Ash overreacted a bit and yelled too much, I can somewhat understand his feelings. He feels betrayed by the person he thought he could trusted. He clung too tightly to his image of a perfect, happy family that upon hearing about a divorce, everything he knew is falling apart around him, that he's going to have to realize that his ideal happy family just isn't going to happen anymore. I do like the way you're going about it.

Ohhhh, so this is what this is about. It totally explains Delia's reluctance and Jay's intentions of keeping up appearances for everyone else's sake. Divorce happens to a lot of kids' parents. I know a lot of people who are children of divorce, both online and in real life. I wonder how Ash will take it.

Yeesh. Ash's family didn't exactly have the best of times, now did they? But his dad's name is Jacey? And Ash's name is Ashton? Uhhh...okay, I guess. Well, I'm reading the rest of it anyway! I want to see how it goes!

I like how Brock and Misty are practically parents trying to contain an overly excited kid like Ash, even if Ash is anxious for perfectly valid reasons. I wonder who Ash's dad is like. I can't wait to read more! You have everyone's personalities down pat so far.

Pokemon Live! WAS NOT CANNON! Get your sources straight. Let's clear this up shall we. No, Giovanni isn't Ash father in the anime, that's pretty obvious to see. However. That you don't need to use something like Pokemon Live! to figure it out. I think it was like some diamond and episode that Ash actually has a flash back about his father. The stupid thing about this is that they only back of his body, but were getting off track here, so back to my point. Most of the websites that you checked are probably made up of information that has little to no standing when it comes to the show. The reason for this is that nothing has been revealed as to why his father actually left. So, anything you read that relates to why he left is still pure speculation at this point in time. P.S You story is quite good. Although Ash seems just a little to childish.

You need to make it longer than a couple of miles. Because in reality that's only about an hour, hour and a half away by foot. Maybe something like thirty miles or two days journey even but two miles, I can do that in my daily workout.
