There is something to be said about a Neville/Draco story when it's done just right- all of it good. This was great. Hard to find well-written NLDM fic's. Excellent job.

My mind is blown. Your story is absolutely, stunningly gorgeous! It's elegant, well-constructed, and very moving. In the words of Draco, "Forgettable wouldn't be a word that came to mind" ;) The only other short fic I can think of that matched this one in impact and uniqueness is Kiss Me With Fire by Lucilla Darkate, however its plot and style is so different that it's very hard to even compare the two (check it out, if you haven't already, perhaps you'd enjoy it). I really enjoyed the subtlety of your writing, and how your physical description of Neville did not follow in the footsteps of a typical fangirl (making the characters have perfect physiques). I also thought both Draco and Neville were in character, so much that what transpires between them seems readily believable. Overall, you've done a fantastic job! I am currently writing my first one-shot, and I only hope that its quality is on par with what you have produced here. Don't let anyone ever tell you that your writing sucks, because it's amazing!

Oh... I love it as well. I think the pairing is good. Neville maybe the opposite of Draco Malfoy in grace and dignity but I think Neville is just as proud and his family is pureblood and I like to think that he's almost as rich as the Malfoy's, he just never shows it. They're a good match. Some people who like unexpected pairings root for Ron and Draco but they are just too alike in temper and prejudice and too different in grace and well...money. I like to think Neville is more used to finery than you might expect from JKR's description of him.
