This is awsome. Would you please update. I would enjoy more of this story.

This was a neat little look into what might have been. I liked how you emphasized that it was more than remembering the plans he had made; he also absorbed the Self that had developed when he had begun using the Death Note.

The kiss was indeed unexpected, and I like that Light was able to reveal himself in a somewhat-humorous moment. I also liked how L's comment, "I didn't know I was that bad" could be taken as a literal complaint, or an actual teasing of his friend.

I like this chapter, esp. how you show that Souichirou followed L's percentages in his thoughts and actions.

I am under the impression that L does not want to execute Raito, and is somehow planning to help him escape/win the trial. Maybe the news about Kira being executed was fake?
