Sarah makes a living as a playwright? That's more evidence she's got some kind of latent magical powers than if she was turning people into teapots.

Toby left before his mother's death? I know the woman was barely coherent but she that doesn't mean it isn't cruel to leave her to die alone like that.

Ugh..you had so much potential then the plot turned sour and was almost made me wince reading it.

I would like to point out that the AMULET that Jareth wears, is not a necklace..it's an amulet.

Jareth is also too OOC (out of character)...

I suggest you read some very good fanfictions on here and then watch the film, until you are able to pick up on specifics.

Also, please get yourself a beta reader as there were many mistakes, which should have been easy to have picked up on.

I know this was your first fanfiction but first impressions always tend to happen when it's like this. If you rewrite this, I suggest you do several things:

1: Review and plan appropriately, the plot seemed scattered with random moments.

2: Read other Jareth/Sarah ship fanfictions, there are many out there which will help you to understand their relationship.

3: Review the film again, as mentioned above in numero 2.

4: Beta readers are fantastic.

I'm sorry someone close to you died that way. I understand the feeling. Someone close to me committed suicide. This is a fantastic story though. I can't tear my eyes away from it! :)

Hi WickedGame - as soon as I read about Xandra the Queen of Trees, I thought about the Dryads in The Belgariad...

And then again when she gives them the 2 seeds, I thought about the seeds Ce'Nedra & Garion are given for the intertwining trees - And then you confirmed it ALL in your Authors Note. Nice to find another Eddings fan - I'm really enjoying this story :-)
