You are such wonderful author for being able to portray their relationship this way, thought it's not as broad as other multi-chaptered fics, but you got the main things down, which are the important ones!

The characters are potrayed so perfectly it hurts. ) You show Kakashi's 'human' side without making him seem out of character, and you can tell Iruka does really care for all of his students. Everything fits together like a puzzle and nothing seems rushed. In other words.. ILU. Just.. ILU.

I know I've read this dozens of times. I kid you not, this is one of my all time favorite Naruto fics. It was the first one I'd read by you and it's still one of my favorites. Your Iruka is just remarkable and I just wish I could write him like you did in this fic. Honestly, I would say I try and hold all the Irukas I write up to the standard you set in this fic. Quick to anger yet just a deep wealth of compassion, empathy and the ability to care. And your Kakashi just makes me weep a bit inside. It's so rare for someone to write a 'sensitive' Kakashi who has a mini-breakdown without it becoming OOC.

I've always thought there ought to have been more repercussions, too. This is an interesting look at what happened from the other side. I liked the way Iruka's vulnerability is what gets through to Kakashi. The rush through self-recrimination to moving on seems a little fast-paced, somehow, but then perhaps that's also part of being a shinobi - one can't spend long mourning one's mistakes when the pressure is to move on and deal with what comes after. That's the case in the original, too, so I can't fault you for it.

I love your work. I love every single one of your fics, and that isn't a lie. I only discovered your work today so I've spent quite some time reading and generally it's been a great day - thanks to you.

Your angst is great - I think it's understated, heartwrenching because it's so realistic, you know? Like the argument - the dialogue was awesome - /‘Then what DO you mean?’ The pale man was also shouting now, flinging his book down hard onto the roof in his agitation./ that caught me - how utterly childish to just throw a book - but that's what you DO in an argument.

I'm babbling, but its a babble full of love for your writing! hope you find the inspiration you're looking for soon - but this was excellent _ ((Is it bad that I snicker every time I see you write the word DO in caps?))

This story kind of stuck in my head and didn't let go. Gah. The sort of story that can only describe as "addictive, distinctive. must read more than once." Oh boy, oh boy. It was certainly milder than some angst stories I read, but it certainly had a good punch. ;)

There see, you are a genius. You can write great humor and great angst. That was perfect and something the manga definitely lacked. I liked it a lot and I can tell you the angst worked as I was blinking back tears at one point (I'm so sappy its untrue but meh).

So yes, very nice writing as always. I hope you get inspiration for 'Look! Look!' soon. Ganbatte!

Awesome! I think this scene was definitely lacking from the manga. Iruka seemed pretty unaffected by Naruto's leaving, which is ridiculous.
