Welcome back! (Especially since the fic in question that tries to continue/replace/whatever its doing yours is just crap. When I first started to read this chapter, I thought it was the other for a second, and wondered why I was getting a story alert, glad I decided to check.) So sorry to hear about the health stuff, but real life trumps writing.

I liked the mending of Rei's mind. I'd think it would take longer, personally, but these folks do seem to have giant hammers of power to casually throw around, so there's some solid internal consistency. Also, Rei's issues are SO sci-fi in origin that it kinda follows that a good solid sci-fi fix could do the trick. I hope that other Eva character's get some of the same mental therapy, as they were all carefully abused by NERV/SEELE/Gendo towards the end of making them better tools in their scheme for godhood. While Rei is a good place to start (as an extreme case of mind fucked), Shinji and Asuka are probably also going to need some intense therapy.

Anyway, happy to see you back, I look forward to more of this story.

Thank's to your update I have marked to follow and as a fave. And while I agree with your sentiments as to someone re-imagining this story, I think there area two that were doing re-writes, had they not posted and gave you credit as to where they found the inspiration I would have not read your story. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one that would not have read your story because of the others. At least the other guys did something of value.

I am now following this story as you have updated and said "hey! I'm alive!" and it's rare to see a story this old make a come back. I only no one other NGE story that was over 10 years old and that completed this last week. You may want to look at the story " Life After EVA". As I said this enjoyed a 10 year break and ended in a very good manner. I look forward to seeing this story continue to it's conclusion, hopefully you will have lots of chapters before that happens.

Actually, I did answer your pm a while back. As far as mystic mindscape stuff, it's something I've used effectively in 2 other stories, so that should be no surprise. Why can't "Magic" and Technology exist side by side? What's technology to some might well seem like magic to a less advanced people. Also,we're dealing with psychic and psionic powers here. That in itself falls into a gray area as far as many are concerned. Other than that, no worries, and enjoy

Even if it has been 9 years and you seem to have changed things from the original story.
At least that's what it appears to be from my POV.
You went right from alien invaders to mystic-Narnia-in-the-mind stuff.
And I admit I'm not one to talk about the consistency of updates, I guess a lot of people think that if you don't update a story or something, you are either abandoning it or you're dead.
And I thought I sent you a PM about that and you never got back to me.
And it sounds like you have had a tumultuous few years, to say the least. Heck, I'm sure you've gotten quite a lot of PM's wondering where you are and what you're doing. And if and when you we're gonna update this story.

Weird bit of fun here, it was an interesting read albeit short. Amusing enough to have a small cheerful laugh over. Definitely amusing enough to go through once. Given how longs its been since the last update I figure its abandoned, but still, it was a fun little idea.
