Hard to pinpoint feelings at the end of the story; there's no happy ending, but it's not extremely sad either. Hard to understand Hiashi's decision towards the end, but the suspense during the pursuit in the hospital was well executed. I would have probably liked an easy reassurance that Hinata is alive, it's hard to tell as the reunion scrne focusses on Neji. And I would have love to read Neji tracking down the culprit, to clear the bad taste the molesting scene left, probably made worse by the fact that we don't really know what age Hinata is, I thought initially she was much younger than what you portray her. So good fic, that will stick with you long after finishing reading.

I really hurt for Neji in this one. You got his character right, I think, in that (in the end) he would be willing to sacrifice for Hinata (both in the "yeah, it's mine lol" sense and the "take me instead ._." sense). Not because he's a branch house member, but because he loves her.

And Hinata...I don't know how I felt about the rape scene. / I think what really bothered me was that she wasn't able to defend herself AT ALL, when despite being a marginally poor ninja...Hinata *still* a ninja. I don't think a civilian could overtake her so easily. But, Neji's intuition and her strength in the face of all that hell worked so well in the story, so it's all good. ;D

Wow...this was so good. No complaints at all. I really liked the song (or whatever was in the italics...) it fit so well. I'm saddened by this story...in a good way, though. If there's a good way to be sad...

Why didn't I review for this sooner? Odd...well, anyway, I definitely loved this story. Goin' straight to my faves. Just...wow. It was one of the first Neji/Hinata fics I read, so it definitely helped me get incest-hooked. XD I just...loved it. Just...wow again.
